There are about 30 people who havent made picks in over a month...If you are one of them you need to make some picks within the next two weeks or your user name will be deleted. I will be cleaning up the database after the end of the 22nd week.

Had a good week tipping FA Cup games... and having a couple of blowout wins helped my cause greatly.
Thank goodness for the "second season"-- bless you, Tree. :D

That's right, Mr. 26 pts from 25 matches, do your trash talkin' while you can - 'cause when it comes to the finish line, the tortoise beats the hare.

NoSix layin' down the smack. Perhaps we'll start seeing more activity on this thread. (not that Tree's "countdown to Season Two" messages weren't scintillating :), but c'mon people where are you?)

BTW, would someone will explain the following teams to me: B'ham, Blackburn, Spurs? I'm gonna revert back to letting the monkey pick those teams' games for me.

So far I have the foolproof system - whichever team I pick to win in matches involving those teams loses.

That's only five points off the lead......... Torto. ;)
Seriously, this is living proof that the "second season" and being a part of it makes a huge difference.
However, I'm sure that others will catch me while I'm offline and moving house in a couple of weeks from now... but all the more reason to get phone-line, cable and broadband details lined up now, while I can.

It does add an extra dimension.
On Sunday I flipped on the TV to see Chelsea leading Leicester 2:0 at halftime.
88' Mutu scores - delirium - 3:0 Chelsea and a 5-pt result for me.
90+' Babayaro scores another - why, oh, why?
Then the announcer finds the gaping wound and goes to work with his salt shaker, "...that's only his second goal in four years in the Premiership!"

Wow, I can't believe this! Unfortunately, this week I'm doing terribly. Go second season, and hey, I finally broke into the first season premiership.

Oh, no way - not 12 points from the same team in the same week?

Very nice lot those Chelsea lads...very nice lot indeed.
Pleased as i was to see Gudjohnson curl in that splendid goal from an absolute peach of a cross from our resident Irishman................i really would have preferrred the 3-0 score.
What ticks me off even more is that i was going to change it to 4-0 about 3 times but never did.....

OK, I was thinking their first result was 3:0 - either way it's an obscene number of points!

NoSix, you've captured the ecstasy and the agony that is EPLPL. BTW, I'm right with ya on that match...sounds like a bunch of us called it 3-nil. I guess about the only thing worse is losing a 7-pt result in extra time.
Tree, are you fixin' to snatch a cup win this week? Anyone else out there call the Chelsea "double"?

Ah, that final change ... to make or not to make ... know it well.
Objectively, over the season, I think making the final change has earned me more points than it has cost me. But I tend to remember the ones where you change FROM the eventual score ... those kill ya!
