Great moves, Tree.

Would love to see two competitions (seeing that I've been one of those people who have sucked so far).

And the reason I'll blame for that is that sometimes I haven't remembered to submit my picks-- and although I shouldn't have any excuses, my location and being a day ahead of the rest of the world is my alibi for this.

Sending out an automated reminder e-mail is a very good idea. But can it be coordinated for all the various parts of the world where we're all playing from?

Tree, I have to agree with you, you are a 'swell guy'. :) It's just extra work for you but here you are trying to make it as easy/fun as possible for us.

And I am all for splitting the season. I couldn't enter pics for 2 weeks while on vacation so I look forward to the fresh start.

Um...is there anyway you could also have an "overall" table as well to reflect the leaders from the begining.Seems somewhat unfair to dismiss those that have done well to date.

sljohn, you're right, but I'd go further.

Kenya,
That was sick!!!

Your pick sheet for Week 13, is one for the ages. Truly! The kind of stuff that gets sports betting outfits to run a little story, complete with an unflattering photo of the handicapper.

If not a betting mag, then a statistics journal--SERIOUSLY--

Tree, with Kenya's permission, you should send his pick sheet to William Hill or someplace and have their statisticians take a look. (Never mind, you're doing enough work on this hobby already... I may run this by a statistician buddy of mine and post a summary of the discussion.)

Again, Kenya, that was sick! Way to go!

Q: What does the top spot of the EPLPL have in common with cheap beer?

A: You don't own it, you rent it.

... and something tells me the lease is coming due ...

I think this guy will win it. He's upset that someone took his name on the Prediction League though....

Holy hand of God, Captain Splarg!
I had no idea about the name thing. They should have a "this name is taken" message for exact matches OR things that differ by a frickin' hyphen.

Coincidence, not theft, I assure you.

I know, but it was funny seeing him realise that he wasn't the only one to ever think of that name.

When I signed on, Tree said he thought he'd heard the name before.

By the way, Leicester is leading the pack in the Premiership race to three Own Goals.

Season Leaders: Own Goals (Premiership Matches Only)

Leicester ... 2
Arsenal ... 1
Fulham ... 1
Liverpool ... 1
Manchester City ... 1
Tottenham ... 1

This is the 2nd time I've made predictions and then when I go to check the results it has question marks on my predictions and says I made none.
My best week was a 20 point week and it didn't register the points. It gave me four for two later matches that week and that was all.
I guess there is something wrong somewhere. :(

The EPL Prediction league has moved. There were serious issues with the hosting company I was using, and I have now completed the move. Basically they were hacked, and all the databases were deleted or corrupted. Think BigSoccer crash of December 2002.

Unfortunately, We have lost all predctions from Saturday the 22nd until Monday the 24th. In order to make it fair for everyone, I have reset the predictions to recommence on Thursday the 27th starting with the 3 UEFA Cup matches. Other than that the game is ok, and all previous points and predictions are safe.

The new Web address is the following: http://66.84.46.180/eplgame/index.php

Please bookmark this new address, and sorry for the problems, however it was out of my hands. If you have any questions, PM me.

Cheers,
Tree
