I actually think it will happen. Most of the Kopites will scream bloody murder when it happens, but Mourinho is exactly what Liverpool needs. He can reunite what is clearly a fragmented side at the moment and get things back on track.
If Mourinho doesn't end up replacing Rafa, who would you pick for the gig?

If Mourinho joins Liverpool I'd be afraid..very afraid.

Oh, they'd definitely be challenging again. No doubt. I would worry. I just don't think it would happen, even though he'd be great for them.

Isn't it obvious though that Gillett and Hicks are leaving the purse strings wide open :D?

i don't get the impression of fear from that idea
they would do better but if he didn't utilize his squad at chelsea to its full potential and with a lesser squad (in all honesty) at liverpool i'm not so sure he would
like i'e said before in the SuperLiga and the Premiership he's had the 2 best squads at his disposal. however i do agree he would get better results.

There is a story in The Guardian which claims a Dubai consortium is ready to step in and buy the club if G&H fail to make some sort of a loan payment in Feburary.
Liverpool FC could change hands for the second time in a year as their American owners encounter difficulties in refinancing £350million of debt incurred in taking over and running the club.
Beset by the steeply rising costs of a new stadium and manager Rafa Benitez's demands for new players, Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr have been attempting to transfer the debt, for which they are personally liable, on to the club itself. City sources believe this is an extremely difficult task to complete before the loan's due date at the end of February.

 @ Pato. Judging from the highlights, he completely transformed that team. Milan looked quite scary against Napoli. But Pato was an absolute beast!

i read the Borowski thing and i hate it. i hope he does a Frings and goes back after 12 months or doesn't go at all
i'd like them to truly end Bayern's stranglehold. if not them then some other team but i still think Werder will find a way to keep up or surpass them and thats 500+
Well, his contract runs out and he doesn't want to extend it. It's not like Bayern tapped him up. He's one of Klinsmann's favorites and he needs a central midfield to eventually replace Van Bommel or Ze Roberto who don't have all that long left to play quite frankly.
Don't worry though, Bremen won't burn down because of this. They've had plenty of even more important players leave (Ailton, Ismael to name a few) and managed to compete for the title.

Pato is a real player. If he and Ronaldo could stay fit, Milan could hope to push up the table quickly. At the moment, they are in 12th - even with their 3 games in hand, they'd only be in 7th place. The title is obviously out of reach, but their form so far this year would keep them out of even the CL spots. Honestly, they crank their game up so much in the CL that I think they seriously are thinking "Let's just win it all this year to get in next year".
With Pato and Ronaldo up front though, they'll be nice. No more putting up with Gilardino the flop, or pushing Inzaghi past his limits. Really excited to see Pato for the rest of the season, and I'm happy he got the goal today.
