but when buffon is in a 100% is better, i think that the italian is passing for a bad moment.

Or maybe Casillas is good enough that he is making Buffon look like he's "passing for a bad moment".

Yes indeed but that was 2 years ago. Oliver Kahn was great in the world cup of 2002 but does that mean anything in the present?

In the end, it meant nothing in 2002 either.:D

It's very close between the two of them (Buffon/Iker) but this last couple of seasons especially, I think Iker has been playing at such an incredible level week in and week out, That I would give him the edge.
(And that's with trying to put my obvious bias to one side.)

The mere act of posting a picture of Valdes in a thread with this title is of course a crime against football.

Buffon is the most complete one imo. Casillas has the most goalkeeping skill. Frey should be up there with them. I like Manuel Neuer think he is a fantastic talent. J.Cesar should get more calls in this thread. Incredible talent.
Top 5 imo
1. Buffon
2. Casillas
3. Frey
4. J.Cesar
5. Manuel Neuer

The Debate between best keeper (Casillas-Buffon) has been going on for a looooong while now.
I think the match Italy-Spain during the Euro's stood symbolic for this debate and made Iker Casillas the Symbolic winner.

I admit, i'm biased (Real-fan), and Buffon is great... just, Iker is better...

There's, of course, always the duel between them when Juve meet Real in the CL...

The only thing that match proved was Casillas is better in penalty shootouts.

You said it yourself. You are blinded by your own bias.

Cech's still up there for me.

But VdS is extremely underrated.

Cech is not the same post-injury. Previously I would have had Buffon first and then a tossup between Casillas and Cech for second. Not now. It's currently still Buffon out in front, closely followed by Casillas and then you can round out the list by adding any from a handful of keepers depending on current form.
