Seems that Concacaf only had one representative in the last Olympics - Honduras. Mexico came in second during qualifying, and they had to stay home.

If the USA are to keep their footballing progress on an upward trajectory and replicate the successes they saw at the Olympics four years ago, they will first need to navigate their way through a tricky CONCACAF qualifying tournament for a place in the Athens sun. With two FIFA World Cup™ veterans, a stable of wide-eyed youngsters and a raft of insatiable talent in the squad, U-23 head coach Glenn Myernick will still have his work cut out come 2 February in Guadalajara, Mexico. FIFA.com sat down for a chat with the experienced boss from the USA’s headquarters at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

OLYMPIC QUALIFYING Olympic qualifying games in the Concacaf region will not be televised in the United States. The games next month in Mexico (eight nations, including the United States, playing for two spots in the Athens Games) will be available only via closed circuit, which is picked up primarily in bars and restaurants that cater to Hispanic patrons. There was no response to e-mail messages sent to Concacaf officials seeking comment.

Why is it that in every single concacaf tournament Mexico always end up playing as the home team?

Funny I didn't know that Canada, Guatemala, Panama, and the USA were in Mexico. Those were the countries that held the Under 17 and Under 20 qualifiers. The USA also hosted the 2000 Olympic qualifiers.

All right, so I was way off. I guess selectively remembered only what happened with my team during that tournament.
And I thought this was just going to go away.

Can you tell me the last time the USMNT played a Gold Cup match outside of the USA?
Thing is since 2000 Mexico will have hosted 2 CONCACAF tournies when the Olympic qualifiers are over. Which will be one more than Honduras and as many as Canada.
Jamaica's squad for the qualifying tournament:
GK: Richard McCallum, Maurice Evans.
DEF: Shavar Thomas, Bradley Thomas, Wayne Ellis, Christopher Harvey, Garfield Reid, Desmond Breakenridge, Demar Phillips.
MID: Damion Williams, Tyrone Sawyers, Omar Daley, Keith Kelly, Simeon Howell.
FWD: Khari Stephenson, Roland Dean, Nicholas Addlery, Christopher Nicholas.
Only 18 guys for some reason. Starting keeper Allien Whittaker is out due to injury, as is Luton Shelton who scored two goals against Guatemala.
