An odd match that couldn't seem to decided if it wanted to be exciting or boring, as it went in fits and starts to the end. Perhaps it was a matter of 2nd team players simply deciding they wanted to try and impress, or perhaps the coaches simply loosened the reins. No matter, as both sides will have their opportunity to advanceto Athens on Tuesday.
Have a nice day!

Right now we're growing in pain after hearing about these results. Its one thing to lose with an undermanned squad to the US & Honduras, but I can never remember Canada losing to Panama before. U23 coach Twamley is taking a lot of heat from the few people up here who actually care.
Anyway, we get to look forward to Yallop coaching the senior team now.

the sub23... is another story, bad coaching and did not use some of the lads from sub20 or sub17, that had some level of high competion last yr.
panama has real coach for the first time in many yrs, and yes they have beat canada many times before..... when canada was the cinderella of concacaF (never mind the islands)

and it happens again and again.....
WHY did the referee called a penalty in over time in the final game??????
R/
BECAUSE the tournament was in MEXICO
BECAUSE it was the only way that MEX would score
BECAUSE 40000 people were cheering for MEX
BECUASE it is impossible that the big MEX is losing with the small COSTA RICA
BECAUSE the referee didnt have enough balls to be on a final game
i am not saying that Costa Rica play better than mexico, i am just saying that it was not fair to lose in that way!!!!!!
WHEN are the CONCACAF tournaments going to be fair for everybody, not only MEX and US???????
well i think this same *#*#*#*#*# will keep happening again and again.....

nasty incident in guadalajara: a honduran player arrives in tegus with 8stiches......
the knife was pushed down his skin by a teammate!
no word from the coach on the incident, but the finger goes to the 2nd keeper on the team, as honduras had no reserve keeper on the bench yesterday.
who did it? is all speculations now....
a fight for money prizes before the game vs Usians?

From reading today's laprensahn.com, I believe that prize money was the instigator.
However, the latest spin is that a shoving affair resulted in the player falling on a lamp that cut his skin.

However, the latest spin is that a shoving affair resulted in the player falling on a lamp that cut his skin. from reading mexican press, yesterday, they have a witness:
