Well his first day has sucked in my opinion. No new DP signing and no Matt Pickens yet.
WTF?

No wins yet either. What a loser.

So is his career record 0-0 or 0-1-2?

So is his career record 0-0 or 0-1-2?
I believe his interim coaching record in 2007 was 0-1-2.
He accepted the position after Spencer turned it down, so that's considered a loss. However, if he got more $ than what they offered Spencer, I'd call it a draw. Timing is everything.

Well Mr. Hamlett good luck to you and here's to hoping you helm the ship well.
Right now me thinks us Fire fans should get ready for a year of suck but that being said I do hope you prove me wrong.
IF you fail (again I hope you don't) please have the loses come in quick and early succession so we can get a new coach soon.
BTW try and make an attempt to be a tad bit more fan friendly now that you are heading the Fire.

DH: "ok"
JG: "Soooo...you know this will mean a 4% raise ay?"
DH: "now i do"
JG: "alright...well...you should probably go clean out your locker and move to the next one over"
DH: "yea"
JG: "oh yea, one more thing...if you would'nt mind...we're out of pens...could you pick some up at office max...here's the keys to my hummer, and the company card..."

Well I'm past the initial disappointment. Denis is our man and hopefully we can move on. Peter Wilt's comments about Hammy make me feel a bit better, until I realize the same PW that defended Sarachan to the final whistle.
So anyways...
He's going to have more resources than any previous Fire manager ever. A war chest of salary cap money, a possible 2nd DP, and a much improved team from what the Chan had at the start last year. He'll have arguably the best offensive player in the league in Blanco, and possibly best defender in Conde.
I wanna say Supporters Shield or bust, but a top 3 finish and a Superliga qualification will more than satisfy.

I'm willing to give Denis a chance - he's paid his dues as assistant coach in MLS. I was hoping for a radical change in tactics and style but I don't think that's going to happen now.
Still RED 'TIL DEAD.
Good luck Denis. I always have BS to vent my frustration if you upset me. ;)

Why don't you guys like him?
Whether we like him or not is irrelevant. The Fire forum just wouldn't be the same without a career death watch. It's a precident that was set shortly after Sarachan was hired.

Why don't you guys like him?
Because he is a mediocre coach thats why. During the Sarachan tenure our team was unfit and Dennis was directly one of the reasons for thst. he runs the training sessions I have seen him do it. The players were lazy and unmotivated during the Sarachan era and they didnt do Dennis any favors by playing that way while he was assistant in my book.
Well Mediocre is the word I would use for this situation. Mediocre.
Oh well

I don't really mean it, I just wanted to be the first to write it. :D
Best of luck Denis!
