Ok dammit, we need a good showing and I need to get a new winning run from us so I'll start another game thread hoping for the best. Big game Away at Stamford Bridge. I'd love nothing more than to beat uncle roman and CHELSKI!
Aight lads predictions and if you want your starting lineup. I hope Cerny gets another shot starting.
I'd LOVE a win but a draw would be ok with me. They are without John Obi Mikel I think because of his recent red card.

I still believe in you chan with the game threads :)
Someone has to break that unbeaten home streak for Chelsea. A good time to meet them, with all their Africans gone to ACN. Plus they have their own version of Robbo, Hilario. :D
I do think Robbo will play. Ramos can make the argument to drop him for a cup game, but this is the league. Hopefully King builds on the Arsenal performance and bosses the defence. Wish we had something stronger than Lee at left back to keep Wright Phillips in check.
----------- Robbo -----------
- Chimbo - Daws - King - Lee -
Lennon - Jenas - Hudd - Steed
---------Berba - Keane -------
Let's be bullish - 2-1 Spurs with a late goal from Jenas.

Aaah yeah. Boateng then.
On their side, I thought Cech was still out as well.

Isn't Kalou also gone for the African nations cup?

Jenas and Huddlestone are both out for this one so it could be O'hara and Boateng in midfield for us I think, we're shite against Chelsea and a draw would a great result.

That means we can't celebrate if we win or the Gooners will come over here and put us down.

No, I thought it important to note the number of missing players. They haven't lost at Stamford Bridge in so long, that such omissions make it possible for us to win. I don't think at full strength we could think win, but we should be going to break their streak. They can then say "well we mere missing so and so", but to be honest once they lost at the Bridge, they will lost the last bit of luster and many home defeats will follow. I don't think they would ever lost to the other "big 3" at home for the first time because they would have a siege mentality. But they will take us lighter than they should and if we play with the passion (and without the missing sitters) that we did at El Emirates, we can do this.

They added Anelka today - must say I would have been a lot happier facing just Pizarro as a striker.
Jenas suspended - guess that's accumulation of yellows? Shame, he is in good form. Midfield creativity may be lacking - revert to the long ball game? Suits Cerny :D

Anelka still has to sign a contract, pass a physical and get registered. I don't think they have time to pull that off in the next 5-6 hours. But it's a big four team and the FA will stay open late for them

You know this will be the case. The FA will do whatever they can to make sure Anelka lines up for Чэлcи tomorrow.

I think:
------------- Cerny -------------
- Chimbo - Daws - King - Lee -
- Lennon --- O'hara --- Steed -
--------------Keane-------------
---------Berba - Defoe --------

I think:
------------- Cerny -------------
- Chimbo - Daws - King - Lee -
- Lennon --- O'hara --- Steed -
--------------Keane-------------
---------Berba - Defoe --------
Attack-minded, which is nice, but not enough steel in the midfield for a game against a team like Chelsea. I wouldn't surprised to see O'Hara and Boateng in the center, with Keane and Berbs up top. The rest of your lineup makes perfect sense.
Is Zokora still suspended?

Tainio in the middle with O'Hara I'd suspect. Teemu was due to play against A*se apparently but ruled out with flu. Could be a decent CM partnership, not much pace but a lot of effort and reasonable passing.
