I figure we have one for books, one for music and two for movies, why not start an OT thread for TV?

Anyone else geeked up for the new season of Lost?

Can't wait for it to start - might have to watch last season over just to see if there's anything else I missed.
Looking forward to a couple shows coming up:
1. Lost
2. 24
3. The Wire (HBO - final season)
4. The Shield (FX - final season)
5. Battlestar Galactica (Sci-Fi - final season)
Not sure how the writers strike affects any of this, but still hope they are all on and all ready to go.

I'm not ashamed to admit my various levels of geek/fandom. However, there's some sort of test online that we took a few years ago at my old job, and I was rated much less of a geek than everyone else at the office. Interesting, but what'd you expect at an IT firm.

I think I'd rate pretty low. Not very good at science or math, which are usually nerd pillars.

Anybody else interested in seeing how Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles does? I'm sure it will suck, but my fingers are crossed.

A lot of buzz for it here in the office, and not just the 30-something dudes. We'll see how it does.

Isn't the Terminator a hot chick in this one? They've tried that before, and it was lame.

For the time being, it all begins and ends with The Wire. Nothing else really matters.

One of my buddies saw the pilot episode and said it was pretty bland. I'll watch a few episodes before I write it off. Did anybody every watch the sci-fi series Firefly? You can get it on DVD now. I love that show (the movie was good as well).

So, is the writers' strike the reason why "Lost" is, well... lost?
I couldn't figure out why new episodes had not aired yet.

they delayed this season to run all the episodes with no breaks, that is why it isn't starting until the end of Jan. however, they only have 8 or so episodes due to the strike.

The Heroes season was cut short as well because of this. I think the first season had something like 23 episodes, but this past season was only like 11.
