This is turning into a game of sorts. Maybe we should bet who Bayern get and see at the end whose right eh? :D I vote Mourinho.

Someone needs like break into Mourinho's home and see if he's reading any German language books :D

Do you really want the grind out results of Mourinho? I think he is a great manager and if we had never won anything like Chelsea or were side with much against them against the top tier of Europe like Porto I'd be on board with his hiring, but I think his teams are generally unwatchable.

I'm surprised Klinsmann hasn't been linked to the job yet...seems to meet the criteria

Firstly I'd like to welcome WrathOfKahn to the Bayern boards, as he has the greatest username ever.

Secondly I believe there's still some bad blood between Klinsy and the management. But who knows.

Thirdly, part of me believes Mourinho equals trophies. That's the main goal. ESPECIALLY if we don't win anything think year (heaven forbid).

Kaiser certainly does though. :)

I think the "boring" style that he is associated with at Chelsea wasn't neccessarily a result of his managerial but a team of superstars that a) partially didn't compliment itself and b) was constantly changing.

If he has consistency at Bayern I think he can maintain an attacking style here.

That said, I hope he drops his attitude and dumb ego if he indeed is our next coach.

Thing is, Barca and Milan might also be after him at the end of the season and can we really compete with them?

We have been kicking Madrid's ass in the transfer market, have some hope. :)

I personally like his ego, it makes things more interesting than just another coach.

His ego, enormous salary, and the fact he can't speak German. I think he'll end coaching the senior center's team in Milano.

Really? His personality SCREAMS "FC Bayern." The most egotistical club in the Bundesliga with the most egotistical coach on the planet? PERFECT fit :D

Uli's back from vacation and first priority was to give an interview to Bild. :D

"We will sit together this week, make a shortlist and then decide. We have time but it's not as easy as most people seem to think. It could take up to three months or only three weeks. We'll see."

"The last time I spoke with Volker Finke was in 2005."

"I will not rule out that it's going to be a foreigner. When we hired Magath we quickly needed someone who was familiar with the league and the club. This time it could be a foreigner, he'd have enough time to learn the language and make himself familiar with the league. I can assure you Bayern will head into the next season with a proper coach for this club."

I don't want him to make the club look even worse. A lot of his public BS was just part of his mindgames and we don't need that to win games.

I think so.

Despite his success, he is one of the last people I want at Bayern. He is a nutjob and a disrespectful old man who is never willing to compromise. He has no class this guy.

Mourinho ( very good tactician, can attract players, the shit that comes out of his mouth makes games a lot more fun to watch, has won the champions league)
Lippi ( name is enough)
Benitez ( very good choice and he has problems with the owners )
Hiddink ( my favorite, the man is unbelievably gifted and a magician)
only these names are worthy of being mentioned or linked to the bayern job.
i would be happy with any of them.
hopefully we won't get any new magath. We want the champions league more than anything else.
