What about manager mode where you can coach a national team, you could pick rosters and run training camps and play in friendlies and tournaments and world cup qualifying etc. all leading up to the big time, the world cup, your players would improve as they do on fifa normally but you could alsod have things like international experiance and such to improve them on the national stage, I think this would be really neat I would love coaching USA all the way through qualifying and everything and building a world cup champion, I have always liked playing with national teams more than club teams so that in manager mode would be really neat. Any opinions?

EA wouldn't do it. They make too much off stupid people who buy their half-ass World Cup games every 4 years.

Here's an idea for 09... make a game that doesn't suck. I've been a long time supporter of the FIFA series, but 08 doesn't sit well with me.

I had been playing FIFA since 98. I bought Football Manager this year to try it for the first time (tried demos before as well) and i cant find a way to stop playing it. My FIFA game hasnt been on since I got Football Manager when it came out.

Yes they do...its called WWSM (World Wide Soccer Manager, i think the 2nd word is correct)

i like 08 for PS2, but i haven't played the next-gen version enough to really see how i like it.

I like the concept though it would be har to figure out the full "manager deal."

A few things I would like to see other than what you mentioned....

-Create a Club and Create a Stadium
-More teams, and more stadiums
-More enhancements
-Better commentating
-Better reffing

You can already create a club. Most teams and stadiums are also on the game...the only other league i want added is the Argentine league

i've wanted Create a Stadium for a looooong time. heck, i can even make a stadium on NCAA Football 2003. why can't i on FIFA five years later?

I play fifa on 360 but it is doesn't really matter because what I am looking for is that I want EA to step up in the manager mode. Some of you already said before that taking a League 2 team to Premiership should earn LOTS of $$ like it would happend in the real life (TV contracts). Also for some League 2 team life depends on their fa cup wins because of the money and I don't see that in the fifa 08. Lastly I want to able to see that if some team qualifies to the Champions league should they get like about 5-10 mill and if advancing far should a team get mega millions, like they do in the real life. Playing in fifa they give so less rationally money that in the real life.
In the real life top teams like Liverpool save their team by doing pretty good CL and doing crappy in the EPL. that's what Manager mode should be all about: $$$:(

Make it not suck like FIFA 08, and add the Northern Irish league and maybe some more stadiums.
