Scratch San Antonio.
That one goes in Garber's "Over my dead body" pile.
What those pols in San Antonio did to humiliate MLS is inexcusable.

Um, couldn't give you a number. I believe if the league gets strong enough financially, and talent wise, it would be nice to hit a bunch of cities.
I noticed a post today about how it's hard to get passionate about teams that aren't really near you. There's some truth to that. I am passionate about MLS but all last year the closest team to me was LA. So, I found myself passionate for TFC, Chicago, and RBNY. For various reasons I guess.
But, imagine if most major cities had MLS franchises that were followed by big groups of supporters, that would be great!!

Scratch Quebec, (assuming you mean city) as they don't even have a USL league team, so they wouldn't be a legitimate possibility.
Montreal as mentioned in the first post would be a possibility.

So can you remind me again what that has to do with MLS?
And the answer to the title: There isn't a set number, any city with a rich investor and a government willing to help build an SSS is a possibility for an MLS franchise.
Close the thread.

What ever happened to FIFA's new mandate about no more than 18 teams per first division league? I thought I saw a thread about that somewhere. Anyway, here are my top 5 cities for possible expansion:
1-Philadelphia
2-New York City
3-St. Louis
4-Portland
5-Phoenix

Kansas City isn't.
With all due respect, Kansas City has a growing fan base, and growing supporters group and a new stadium plan in place. Give them a chance

Could you people please stop asking about that. FIFA will not care, because it's a measure to reduce the number of games, not teams. All these leagues around the world use balanced schedules, so the number of games is determined by the number of games. Not true for MLS, where unbalanced schedules mean you can have as many teams as they want, and FIFA wouldnt care.

Don't give him respect he's been trolling on the subject for like two years now and was just pissed when he heard that KC is going to be getting a stadium.
