If God forbid Wilpon losses interest in MLS or he somehow can't pull this sss in Queens off, what would be the fall-back plan for MLS NYC? We all know the league is really pulling for a NYC FC but besides Wilpon, I don't know off anyone else that would step up as a potential owner.

In the early 1500's Hernan Cortes, a spanish conquistador, scutlled his ships and ran them aground. Now his men had no other choice but to stay and fight. There was NO PLAN B. The only outcome was victory. Needless to say, in Mexico and the rest of Latin America they speak SPANISH.

if the Wilpons were to bow out, then plan b IMO would be to hope to God that Hank Steinbrenner's love for soccer steer's him to becomming the lead bidder of nyc2. he could use the money from parking at Yankee stadium to buy into the league. (GRRRRRRRRRRRRR stupid raise in prices.)

I would rather Wilpon didn't decide to slaughter hundreds of thousands of indigenous folks for an expansion side, personally.

There is no fight for us to have. If Wilpon is interested, he might do it. If he's not, how do you plan on fighting him to make him purchase a soccer team?

lol Guys relax. I was using that example as a metaphor for our cause. The minute that you start looking at PLAN B's then you start losing your focus and you are opening up the possibility for failure. If you condition yourself to believe that you can not fail and that you MUST succeed then more chances than not, you will end up victorious.
C'mom Metro, I'm not looking to the slaughter of anyone, except maybe the Redbulls on the soccer field.

I know that we can't think like that and I'm not. I am very confident about Wilpon and NYC FC, but I was just curious as to what would happen if Wilpon's plans fell trough.

Yes - i see the concept behind this post.
Guys - I have to reiterate the reason behind the BB creation. We need the supporters to voice their opinion as well. Perspective owners might like to see there team supported before they decide anything. Look at what Sons of Ben did! We need to do the same - so Plan B needs to be out of the ? - just ask yourself - what can we do to mke PLAN A happen - which is - we need your cooperation - please join BB - spread the word - Myself and Paul are doing what we can to make sure our name is known, we need you all to get it out there and help us out. The BB are not just a BB ficticous group. They are a supporters club that are slowly getting known!! No Plan B - just Plan A - Borough Boys!!!!!!
Our Team needs us boys - more now than ever before!!! I know - there was no before!!! Thats why now is so important!

I understand what you are saying, but I just can't resist pulling two ideas out of my butt.

The Hunts move Columbus to NY. I was reading the thread on the Crew board about the new stage being put in. There are many posters there that think this is a step towards selling and moving the team. I think that sooner or later, either Dallas or Columbus will be sold. If the Hunts are unable to find a buyer that wants to keep the team in Columbus, they might consider moving the team.

Chivas USA gets sick of being the "other" team in LA and moves to New York. NY is a place that the Chivas brand can flourish.

As far as Chivas moving to NY,I think their best bet would be to stay in LA. If they are going to be supported anywhere its going to be there. There arent enough Mexican-Americans in NY to support a team with such Mexican history. There are many different hispanic groups in NYC but Mexicans are not a major one.
