Well, actually you donīt have a point footyfan.

Only Andreasen will leave is during THIS transfer period, which ends on 31. January.

Jensen has the possibilty to leave us in summer, thatīs correct yes. And pointing out the fact that the transfer hasnīt been completed yet is okay, but in the end itīs not worth discussing about that particular fact.

Anyways, at the moment I am not really satisfied with KAs transfer politics. I have always been criticising that he talks to the players, of whom the contracts are running out, to late. We could definitely have secured the stay of for example Borowski, Ailton and Kristajic, if Allofs had just talked to them earlier.

Carlos Alberto will go to Sao Paulo on loan till the end of this season, they have the possibility to buy him afterwards.

Werder is interested in buying Tiago Gomes from Estrela Amadora of Portugal. 22 years old, midfielder, portugese

Also Milos Krasic from CSKA Moscow might come to Bremen during this transfer period. He is the best buddy of Dusko Tosic.
Excellent midfielder, international of Serbia and 23 years old.

edit: forgot to report of the interest in 19 years old Özil from Schalke 04.

Do we at least agree that only one will be allowed to leave?

Why not? We who follow football know that until a deal is signed, sealed and delivered, things can always change.

I know and I acknowledged that this deal will more than likely be done. Hell, it may be being completed as I type this.

However, how do we know that Allofs won't change his mind once he realizes what he's losing in midfield?

Trust me, I don't doubt your word in this. I just know that in football, anything can happen.

I don't agree on the players you named. I agree with you overall that Allofs waits too long in many cases, but from what I remember, Ailton and Kristajic left for Schalke's money, which at that time, Bremen could not match. I now agree with EE on Borowski. He was going to leave anyhow.

Which Allofs might be trying to do before he finalizes the Andreasen sale....

I get that.

Where would you guys play him? As a back-up for Diego or on one of the wings?

I keep hearing his dad hopes a big-money deal comes from Turkey, but the kid just wants to go somewhere he can actually play.

I agree that everything that is possible will be done to keep Jensen in Bremen, yes.

And you are right, when you say, that everything can change within "seconds" in the football business, but considering all the sources, which definitely are reliable, i suppose Andreasen will leave this transfer period.

Krasic is definitely a better back-up than Andreasen, if not even a player belonging to the first eleven.

Donīt know too much about Gomes, but one goal and two assists donīt seem to be to promising. On the other hand it must have a reason that there also were scouts of Ajax, Feyenord, Betis Sevilla and Befinca Lissabon to watch him.

I read that Manchester City is also interested in him.
Gomes will definitely leave Amadora at the end of this season, because he can leave for a 1,5 million Euro transfer fee.

I think Özil is one of the most promising young players within Germany, and there have been talks between Bremen and his adviser, who offered Özil to us after Schalke said that they wonīt offer him another contract.

His dad and his adviser are the major problems, who could "prevent" him from having a great career. They would like to have a huge amount of money, I read about ca. 2 million. Saying, that Özil hasnīt reached a lot with his 19 years, this is really "extraordinary".

If the transfer ideas of Scheisse 04 fit ours, Iīd like to see him here. I suppose he will be played as a left midfielder as a replacement of Borowski.
But same could be said for Krasic or Gomes.

if my opinion is worth anything, i like to have it clear when a deal is finalized or not.

But Krasic would be a great winter pick up if we can get him. He looks like he could become a good player to replace borowski.

i found this clip of him:

Well I found some more information about Bremen transfers during this period. The following players were options, but Bremen failed to buy all of them:

-> Maduro - Bremen wasnīt willing to pay the claimed salary; he went to Velancia because of the opportunity to be in the starting eleven
-> Mavuba - wanted to come to Bremen, but Bremen wanted to loan him with an option to buy him. Villareal didnīt accept this and he went to Lille on loan - without an buying option.
-> Katsouranis - Benfica was questioned about him, but they wanted double-digit transfer fee.
-> Higuian - wanted to have him on loan, without an option to buy him, but Real Madrid wanted to keep him.
-> Krasic - the press says that Tosic was able to persuade him to come to Bremen, but Moscow would like to have more than 7 million, and we are not willing to pay this much for a backup player.
-> Özil - most realistic - Bremen offered Schalke a bid of 4,2 million euros today.

Where did you get your information from? Sorry, but Kreiszeitung quotes Allofs that there was never any interest in Özil and you even say that Werder made an offer. What are your sources?

If the condition was to pass on a buying option it was smart to loan him. But i don't believe we were in any talks with Villareal in the first place.

I got these information from a, in generel, very reliable user of werder.de/forum/. His name is Shaoqiang or something. :)

I canīt believe, that Werder was after Higuian only for a loan
without a buying option. That doesnīt fit to Werders transfer policy.

Who i miss on the list is Sebastian Prödl from Graz, but he is more
an option for the summer transfer period.

And the Jensen extension was done today. He extended until 2011. Still nothing on Andreasen though.....

With Frings' new knee injury, do you still really believe Allofs will so quick to sell Andreasen??

OK. I just haven't seen it yet. If so, I think that is a very stupid move.

Especially with the injury to Frings.

EDIT: See it at Sky Sports now. What will be your midfield without Frings now? I guess he has one of the purchases you mentioned yesterday done?

Its a done deal..

"Leon Andreasen verlässt Werder Bremen und spielt ab sofort für den englischen Premier-League-Klub FC Fulham."
http://www.werder.de/aktuelles/news/meldung.php?id=12344

"Fulham have signed Leon Andreasen from Werder Bremen, on a three-and-a-half year deal that will see him at the club until summer 2011."

I cant find the transfer fee though....
does anyone know???

The Fulham forum says 2.9 million pounds.
Thatīs about 4.4 million Euros, which is okay.

It would have been very nasty to keep Andreasen here any longer. He didnīt feel well here and wanted to have more playing time, which he could not be offered.

I donīt think it was silly to give him away. We still have Borowski, Diego, Jensen and Baumann as a starting midfield at the moment. With Hunt, Vranjes, Niemayer, Harnik, Artmann, Bischoff and Kruse we have loads of backups for midfield.
Owomoyela and Fritz can play in midfield too. If Baumann struggles playing well, Jensen could be moved to defensive midfield and either Owo or Fritz could play in right midfield. Artmann, Kruse and Harnik can also play in right midfield, not to mention Vranjes.
Same goes for left midfield, where Hunt and Bischoff are brilliant backups.
Niemayer is very flexibel in use and can take over any role, except from Diegos. :)

Iīm fine with the lineup as it is for this season, but we have to invest next season and buy some extraordinary midfielders and maybe a left defender, as well as another top class striker.

I see what you mean now, but I still think it was a dumb move. I think Andreasen was the perfect replacement for Frings. Baumann isn't tough enough and he has brain lapses. Hunt and Harnik are basically strikers. Vranjes is inconsistent.

I'm not talking about you guys "just getting by", I'm talking about being good enough to win a title. You really think you can do it with Diego and a makeshift midfield for much of the second half of the season??

A midfield with Jensen and Borowski isnīt exactly what I would consider as makeshifted. Same goes for Baumann.

OK. I see your point. I used that word because the one thing I think it lacks is the toughness brought by a Frings or an Andreasen.

Believe me, I've followed Frank Baumann since he was a young kid at FCN. He just isn't tough enough and these days, it shows. Same with Jensen.

But Borowski can be......
