you better come away with points from the first round, cause it appears you could be in for a long day in your first home match back in Serie A...
Seconda giornata (And. 14/09/2003 - Rit. 01/02/2004)
Sampdoria-Lazio

Reginna drop 2 points.

They did bring him on late, but he didn't have time to do much. Reggina had a perfectly good goal disallowed which would've made it 3-0. *sigh* BTW, Samp's defense looked pretty suspect.

the disallowed goal was beautiful

I felt that the disallowed goal was the right call. Once Yanagisawa was brought on Samp played much better, he made some really nice plays. I think he'll do well in Italy this season and make his move permanent.
I thought there were some suspect calls going against Samp. Nice to see Samp fight back and get a much deserved point.

It was definitely a close call, but they seemed level to me, just that the guy making the pass was leaning back and Di Michele was leaning forward to run on to it.
I don't know about suspect calls, but Samp could've had about three yellow cards in the first 20 minutes. "molto falloso" I believe was the term the guy used in referring to them.
Doni was awful.

I'm just glad Novellino had the cajones to take Doni off.

Two players out of three in the worst performers of the weekend.

Hope Novellino sorts this out.
