Would you like nice supporter friendly terrace seating or Baseball-like nasty bucket seats?

What is "terrace seating"?

I've never heard that term.

I know what terraces are, but they have no seats?

You've got me stumped.

Do you mean bleachers?

I meant terraces actually where you can sit down on the concrete and you have no back rest. Some places just have a plastic seat for your butt but no back support.

Gotcha. Like this (but obviously on a grander scale)?:

Voted yes for the terraces, but I think it's highly unlikely that we will have one.

We cant think like that. We need to make this part of the NYC atmosphere. The needs of the fans. We all need to be saying "i want terraces!!" I think that we should include this in our meeting. If we dont present this idea to WILPON then he is never going to know we want it.

Would MLS even allow terraces? Heck, if that's all you want, no need to build a zillion dollar new stadium; just rehab some old HS park that has concrete bleachers :D (kidding, of course).

Who are the two geezers that are armchair philosophers? You might as well watch from your couch if that's how you think.

If not, then the supporters end could just have bleachers with no backs.

Terrace seating in Queens = Da Silva Memorial Field @ St John's University.

If you are talking about the old stadium the soccer teams played in, then yes this is exactly what I am talking about.

I dont like terrace seating, idk why, i think it just looks nasty. Plus its more complicated to sell season tickets, cause theirs no seats, lool. I think the terrace days are over anyways, so idk

The terrace seating would be in the supporter section, where the ticket prices are much lower anyway. I wouldnt mind buying a season ticket to terrace seating. Besides I dont want to sit down, I want to be standing up as I cheer. You can't sing while you are sitting down.

I don't think that all terrace seating is dead. It's still very popular in South American (Brazil and Argentina in particular). In October I went to see Boca-River and I was in the supporter section of River. I didnt sit all game except for half time. It's a great time. You truly enjoy yourself with your friends. Now, if you are the type of person that doesnt enjoy that type of atmosphere then you can sit in the seated section. I know there are times when I just want to watch and relax and I end up doing that.

Personally I'm going to buy season tickets in the supporters section and another somewhere along with midfielf to relax and hang out with my family. As far as NYC goes. I'm going to do as much as I can to promote terrace seating. And while you might not like it, I personally will hold a spot for you on the terraces for the day that you decide to experience it with us. lol lol

C'mom Austin, join the part with us!!!!
