How would I put a DVD on my iPod?

Here's the catch: I don't have a DVD reader in this computer. Could I install iTunes on another computer to rip the DVD and then use the wireless network to transfer the files?

Any ideas?

I don't quite get what you mean...

Why not just use the other computer to rip AND transfer to the Ipod?

If you want to have the DVD ripped in your PC without the DVD drive, use the Ipod as a pen drive.

It's my experience that when everything in my iTunes library gets transfered to the iPod, everything in the iPod is overwritten. Hence, using the other computer to transfer a DVD would remove everything else in the process.

That's why i'm thinking the only way to get the DVD onto my iPod would be to use another computer to rip it, then transfer it to my main computer through WiFi.

I see. Your Ipod is set to automatically sync with the PC media files. Everyfile you have in your PC, or in a certain folder, would be transfered. Just disable that option and put it on manual. I find it much better, so I can keep the Ipod organized the way I want.

And if you don't want to disable that option, you can still tranfer the movie to your PC by pen drive mode, just don't start itunes on the other PC, instead copy and paste to the ipod folder.
