With his recent run of form, I honestly think that Beye will be missed the most. Right now he is the one defender I don't think we can afford to be without. Martins couldn't put one in against his sister right now, Geremi...seriously?, and Faye has been injured to much to be missed. What does everyone else think?

Beye. No point in debating it. Thread closed.
...kidding (on the last part, at least!).

Beye.
However, I think that during the tournament Oba will find his confidence and come back a new player. He will go on a tear during the last half of the season and we will all remember why he wears #9.

Beye has to be the most likely to be missed, I agree. He's playing great for an otherwise mediocore defense. I am little worried about the striker position, however. Smith is concussed, Viduka has already missed some time, Ameobi probably forgets what the pitch looks like by now and I am scared to death that Owen will see in shadow and we'll have six more weeks of hamstring problems (or is that just an American holiday?).

Beye then Oba. I won't miss Geremi at all.

This is just too easy of a question really. Beye hands down. Carr is not a suitable replacement, and at least we have other options up top when Oba goes.

That's true, but with a side that doesn't have a credible LB, losing your RB is crucial as well. Now, you are vulnerable on both sides to pacy wingers, or skillful players, its so easy to pick us apart. You can't consistently win games if you can't defend, but you can get results with Owen and Viduka up top, or Smith and Owen.

Two games, no goals. Then again, Nigeria don't have a goal among the entire team so far.

By an act of God (two, in fact), Nigeria find the net twice and move through. Looks like at least another week of the card machine, the one-hip wonder, Bambi and FAB up front. At least they get Ghana, which means they'll be done on Monday.
