Our first fixture of 2008 sees Sven's side travelling to Tyneside for a 7.45pm kickoff on Wednesday January 2nd.

NUFC: To follow...Joey Barton will be missing as he's otherwise engaged on Merseyside at present, while there's a doubt over Smith after he was hospitalised following the Chelsea defeat.

MCFC: City have signed Mexican forward Nery Castillo:rolleyes: who had been playing for Shakhtar Donetsk, but it's now been confirmed that the formalities of this deal won't be concluded in time for him to feature on Tyneside.

Sven's men recorded their third successive draw on Sunday when they were held 0-0 at home by Liverpool, meaning they've lost just once in nine Premiership fixtures.

Ref: Martin Atkinson - fourth time out this season for this Yorkshire-based official, after presiding over victory versus Everton, away draw at the mackems and defeat at Blackburn.

******** everyone 3-0

Tell us how you really feel.;)

But I agree to an extent. New year, time for a new start to it, let's start with a home winning streak!

Beye with the winner before he leaves for 6 weeks.

History is on the side of NUFC and the ghost of John "Jock" Peddie will rise from the ashes of St.James' Park to spook City like in 1900,

TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I hope Nery Castillo pulls a hammy.

Just got back from Mexico late last night. Watched the chelsea match this morning and boy was that ever gutting, I'll post about that later. But at least I've got this ahead, and hopefully we can pull something out of this. The Castillo signing just makes me hate Man City all that much more. My prediction is 2-2, but I'm hoping I'm wrong and we can get all three. Well off to the match, I will see you all in a bit.

I love starting with 2 defensive mids at home.

Charlie playing as left back, ridiculous Sam. Did you miss the Chelsea match where he was really our only danger going forward?

Anyone need PBP?

I love starting with 2 defensive mids at home. The old empty bucket.

Petrov vs Beye is going to be a key match up.

Another great move of putting Milner on the left and Duff on the right. What a genius.

It's why he gets the nice jacket on the bench.

Zog is leaving Cacapa under too much pressure.

Great move by Duff to find Milner on the right side of the box. I am becoming a new believer in Duff.

Oba flubs a sitter in front of the net. At least put it on frame. Seems like Oba's gonna be in twat mode all night. Whining and crying when people don't give him the ball and doing feck all when he does get it.

Another crap referee decision puts us in a bind and now we're 1-0 down. FFS!

Totally undeserved goal for Citeh.

Elano tackles horribly on Faye and he'll be booked. Maybe could have been a red.

What the feck have you lot done to the refs?

Duff clearly on brought down by the last defender. No red as Duff is flagged for offsides, Citeh score from build up play after the resulting free kick.

Thought Elano was a little lucky with the yellow, although it appeared to be more clumsy than malicious.

He's got his Citeh blinders on. Then right at the end of the half Butt goes in and makes no contact, but their twat rolls around on the groud for a few minutes and the ref awards a FK.

Not to mention Duff wasn't even close to being offside. Was actually a bit behind the defender.

Another great move of putting Milner on the left and Duff on the right. What a genius. They're switching in game. It's fairly common. We even do it on my over 30 team.
