Changing Alliances

Hey everyone. As you can see on my list of favorite teams, RBNY is, at the moment, one of them. However, I am considering changing my alliance from RBNY to NYCFC, but in order to make an more informed decision regarding such a transition, I'd like to know a couple of things:
1. What NY pro-sports teams does the majority of your fan base support?
2. Is in the interest of the fans to include the colors of any of those teams in NYCFC's color scheme?
3. If the answer to number 2 is yes, then how will you attract New Yorkers who are fans of the Rangers or Yankees when NYCFC's color scheme is of the Islanders and Mets (and vice versa)? After all, you say this will be New York's first true MLS team, so it would make sense IMO to have neutral colors so that more New Yorkers will support the team.

Hopefully nobody picks there favorite team based only on their colors. If a die hard Yankee fan also loves soccer, I don't think he wouldn't like a NYC team just because they have Mets colors.

I think some very classy colors would be pink and black, like Palermo and this one Spanish club, I think. Not many clubs have those colors, so you would stand out, while also it's not a bad combination of colors either. Palermo has one of the best-looking uniforms I've seen. Plus it could be an homage to the Italian-American presence in NYC, and the mob bosses with connections from Sicily.

Hey,MT personally im a Met and Jet fan. I dont care what colors the team choose but if I had my way it would be a black/white combo. But the team colors should be a tribute to NYC and the best way to do this is to use the colors of the city flag blue/white/orange. Thats my humble opinion.

i'm a diehard yankee fan and if the colors are orange and blue i have no issues w/ that... Orange is the color of the dutch... settlers first of NY (from europe)

I hope the team stays away from sharing the colors of the Mets - but i dont care what color they are! I really hope they take some of the cosmos colors. i dont want them to take the name but the colors were awesome!

Let's face it, the color of new york is blue.
Mets, Yankees, Giants, Rangers,Dodgers, Cyclones..etc...
I just think not enough teams use Blue in MLS.
Blue with a bit of orange trim here and there.
But Blue and White would be sweet by me.

If the colors are orange and blue I personally would not care. I (used to?) cheer for the Knicks and they are orange and blue.

Give NY FC the BoSox' colors and then I would have an issue. Not because they belong to Boston, but because they are an ugly color scheme.

I am hoping for a black and white look though for NYC FC. It'll be different to another NY team.

kubah i'm w/ ya dude... no red and white... thats the colors of the dark side (bosox) but again.. i just dont like that color scheme...but w/e the color scheme is... so long as it's not red and white... i'm good to go and i'll have a big checkered flag made up so i can represent at the games
