Look, insult Spurs all you want, but do it right. Ask Clan or Matt Clark to help you. Matter of fact, take notes. Don't come in here with weak-ass jokes like that.

I agree. At least make it personally deragatory to Tottenham. That weak smack could apply to 2/3 of the clubs in England. Hurt us, make us cry even, just don't waste our time with elementary humor, if you could even call that humor. It just drags ARSE-anal and all their pathetic fans down lower than dog dung.

Blackburn had one extremely wealthy supporter back in the 90's, hence their one very fortunate league title. To suggest they are bigger than Spurs is absurd. Blackburn are a non-descript club with non-descript supporters. Spurs are so much more than that.

And as for Liverpool Mr Clarke, well lets not go there. Talk about fading shadows. Your club will never return to it's former glories. The current mob are an insult to the legends that once graced Anfield. Watching them makes Wimbledon scrazy gang seem like Brazil circ 1970. It is that bad

1st paragraph: I agree we were lucky to get a fan in Walker to get Blackburn going again, and without him we'd not be where we are now. But the only reason Spurs are still seen as a 'big' club is because they're in London, which is more densely populated, and trading on past glories in the 1960's. That, and the fact a hell of a lot national journalists actually are Spurs fans keep this myth they're better when compared to Charlton, Southampton, Blackburn etc. are the only reasons why Spurs are considered anywhere near Arsenal, Man Utd or Liverpool now.

And are Blackburn a non-descript team ?. Tell me, what would that make Spurs, since Blackburn won the Worthington Cup final a couple of seasons ago, against the 'mighty' Spurs, and finished last season reaching a UEFA cup position and reached the semis of the Worthington cup, whilst the 'mighty' Spurs finished 10th or so after a diobolical run that ended in a 4-0 loss to Blackburn of all people ?. So how are Spurs such a great club then, if they can't do better than a 'non-descript' club like Blackburn ?.

2nd paragraph:It's a bit rich accusing a Liverpool fan trading on past glories. You talk about the 1970's with Liverpool, but you have to go further still, to find when Spurs were a genuine force in English football. Although having said that, there was the Ardilles/Villa era in the 1980's. All you hear about with Spurs is how great they were in the 1960's, how Hoddle will lead you to play 'the Spurs way' (whatever that is), and how 'big' they are. They're so big, I believe that they couldn't fit into a position with single figures last season !.

Spurs are a team of the past, and yet a lot of their arrogant, sniffy fans can't except that. They have to look down their nose at their current equals, like Blackburn, Charlton or Southampton. That's what I can't stand.

Hey, we won the London Challenge Cup in 1911 and 1920. We won the Norwich Charity Cup in 1920 and we won the Norwich Hospital Charity Cup in 1947 and 1950. That's all within the last century, and given the age of the planet we live on, that isn't very long ago.

On the pitch Southampton and maybe even Charlton are currently Spurs equals. I would concede that Blackburn actually have a better squad of players than us at the moment. We have a lot of new players and the jury is out on how we will perform this season. I suspect we will be as inconsistant as ever.

The reasons why such teams (Blackburn, S'oton, Charlton etc) are not as big as Spurs is simply because we have a larger fanbase. We have a larger fanbase because we have had more success than you. It is as simple as that. We may be perinanial underachievers now, but for the time at least we remain a big club with potential simply by living off past glories (being we have spent only one season outside the top division in the last 52 years and have won more major honours than all but three clubs in that time). There will be a time , where clubs like Wolves and Burnley have shown, that due to a lack of success on the pitch a big club will go into terminal decline. In a way that has already started to happen at Spurs, with big ground lost to rivals Arsenal and now Chelsea. The fact is that the current generation of kids are growing up and are more likely to pledge their support to successful glamorous clubs like Arsenal, Man Utd and now Chelsea. Spurs used to be the glamour club in the South (not just in the 60's but for periods in the 70's and 80's and very briefly the 90's too). If the club goes for much longer without making a significant impact, bot on the pitch and in the media, then Spurs will go the way of a Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wehn you make statements like "Blackburn are a bigger club than Spurs" then you should try and support your case with factual evidence as I have done. It is no use just saying these things without having a reasoned arguement to complement it

I was at the Spurs vs. Fulham match last Saturday, and all I can say is that Spurs had all the chances, but just could not convert them. Fulham made the most of their few opportunities.

Kasey is a great 'keeper, but has no support from his defence. Much as I admired Hoddle as a player, Spurs needs a change in manager

That is all.
