When we get our team whenever it will be. What kind of stadium would you like and dislike. My favorite is Estadio do dragao. And i hate stadiums with stages.

The only thing is that I would add terraces!

and it only cost 141 million dollars to build. Look at what 141 million dollar soccer stadiums get in this country, 20 thousands seats and a stupid stage, look what 141 million gets you in Europe, Looks like wilpon is gonna have to hire a European architect.

Fulhams craven cottage seats just about MLS standards at 20,000. So it wouldnt be bad to play in. I wish us as fans had a say in what we want. Maybe we can start another petition lol.

I hope that the new stadium will be at least 35.000 seats.

How about, "The Bloody Angle"
It's the name of a corner in Chinatown (used to be in Five Points)
(Doyers street).
Gangs used to jump and attack each other at that corner because of it's
sharp angle.
I went there last week, and i still get the chills when I walk the angle.

I dont think we can settle with a 20 thousand seat stadium. Not with the type of players that are starting to come over. Beckam alone made the MLS go over the 3 million attendance mark for 1 season. And you can thank david beckam and his huge contract for putting the MLS on the map. Now other players are thinking if one of the best footballers went here there must be something about it, plus knowing u might get paid near 50 million a year will make anyone come here. Now look at some rumors, Henry might come one day, ronaldinho one day, shevchenko, just to hear them mentioned in rumors to mls gives the MLS more credibility and strength. ANd if the league cant make way for them and their big contracts then the MLS doesnt need to exist.

i like ur enthusiasim (or however it's spelled) but to sustain those numbers over a whole mls season, at this point in the sports development in the U.S. just wouldn't be the right way to go. especially in NY were we have an abundance of of sports teams, extra-curricular activities, and unfortunately lame ass euro snobs. the current model of SSS has been working great so far. lets allow the sport to crawl before making it walk.

What you say is true, but the more players we bring the more fans we will get

you start with 20,000 with the ability to add on to your stadium.
It's better to sell out 20,000 every game, then to have a half empty stadium every game. The idea of a to capcity stadium every game lends a great atmosphere to the game. Then, over the next 5-10 years, you add a few extra 1000 seats, and so on.

20,000 average is the highest for any team - most average around 15,000 - i think they should start with 25,000 as it is new york - a little bigger because well - we always have to be better! ha ha - then they can leave room for growth!

Within NYC I think that the stadium should be anywhere from 30-35 to start with the possibility to turn it into a 40-45k.

i personally think if you put something like FC PORTO has or ARSENAL, fans will come just cause the stadium is so damn nice. The smaller it is, the less attention people are going to pay to it. I agree with cosmos 30,000 would be a perfect start, only because it will be right in nyc not in the suburbs like most cities and their stadiums. so attendance will be higher.
