For dc to make it they have find a way to out point Columbus or Chicago by 7 over the next month AND fend off NE. That doesn't sound so hard...until you look at who dc must play:

@SJ - a reaming waiting to happen. They should call KY to sponsor "lube night" for the first 1,000 screaming LD fans. SJ is still undefeated in the league at home. Cue Topper...

@MET - a robust 1 point per game in 2002 at the swamp. Maybe dc gets points here. Even better, dc could set the league record for futility in this game. Double bonus for the league and Metros fans.

SJ - the only team worse than SJ on the road is, guess who - dc.

@NE - at least NE can score. dc is already sown in this series 2-1. How badly do you suck if you lose a series to NE?

@MET - If dc is lucky, Metros might be able to place the last dagger into dc's collective heart (what little of it there is) on this night. That will sell some tickets. I know I'd pay to see it. In fact, I did. I bought the dish plan. Good for me.

MET - Muts have best road record in MLS. It isn't going to matter dc will be dead by then anyway.

DAL - will Ray be fired within 48 hours of this loss? I hope so, I'd rather listen to him color playoff games.


The best shot at a win might just be the two games at MET. Look at that schedule again. Does dc even scrape 7 points out of it? 4 of the next 5 on the road and they can't drop even a point. Cremation or casket, c*cks*ckers?

Nothing quite like wizardscharter talking smack no more than 10 hours after the juggernaut that is KC strolled into RFK to play the league's worse team (by far) and gained a whole single point. Yes, DC has reached a level of suck unseen in MLS since, well, last year's DC United, but at least have the sense to talk smack only after your team beats the league's worst.

I'm not thrilled with a point in dc, but it is a nice urnaround, helps KC qualify, continues KC's unbeaten streak in the league, helps bury dc in a hole, and is unexpected given KC's recent schedule airmiles and injuries.

So p*ss off and enjoy your *************** stadium, *************** pk takers, and *************** team.

The food sucks, I'll give you that. Stadium provided grills. It's conveniently located(you can walk in from two different hotels), easy in and out, You can watch the game on monitors under the corp. box level when it rains or when in line for a beer. My seat is roughly 10 ft from a linesman, so I can scream at him. Pretty good stadium overall.
