Copa do Brasil 2008 [R]

His team will be competing in this competition while other "timecos" will be competing in the Libertadores, despite having a better team. Inter will be facing Nacional for the third straight year!!! Except this time, the Nacional is from Paraíba:p

Are Globo Internacional and PFC ignoring the Copa do Brasil games? I know the first rounds are against small teams, but there's literally nothing else to show on Wednesday night (PFC is showing state league reruns, and Globo Internacional is actually showing the Barueri-Corinthians game from last week, if you can believe their slow, useless website).

I seem to remember watching Copa do Brasil games last year, but that might have been just over Sopcast. Do the satellite channels really ignore this whole competition?

Well it starts on Wednesday, but PFC isn't showing it.

I'm not sure then. I would check Globo Internacional on the match day since they do a bad job putting up their schedules in advance. When Flamengo won the CdB 2 years ago, I remember them showing games from the first round.

Globo can't show any Libertadores games here in the USA because Fox Sports em Espanhol bought the rights. So that leaves them with Copa do Brasil games. They just showed one this past weekend, but I don't remember who it was.

On the Wednesday nights when Copa do Brasil games happen, Globo has been showing one game at 10pm. Three weeks ago they showed Barras vs. Corinthians, and last week they showed Palmas vs. Atlético-MG -- both of them were entertaining, extremely one-sided goal-fests...

I assume they'll start showing more of the games once it gets into the later rounds. Who knows, PFC might get into the act too.

Hopefully Sport will be able to surprise Vasco away tonight and return to the finals of the Copa do Brasil. It's been 19 years (the innaugural tournament) since we've made it that far, and hopefully this time we can actually win! Saudações rubro-negras!

Well, that would have been nice, as I follow Vasco (very good friends "la no Rio"), but oh well - Vasco is going down next, and Corinthians Paulista - um "Timao" do Serie B - is going to Libertadores next year.
