We all love Barthez. He has a really nicely smoothened bald head shaped like an egg. Barthez's favorite food is actually pancakes served with eggs. He likes some cream on top of the pancakes. "Jam will do", says Barthez the bald often. Barthez's friend Marco Pantani from Italy has a really shiny bald too. Or actually he had. Nevermind. Forget it.
There are really many stunts Fabien has performed during his career. Once he was attacked by a fan. Fabien of course acted calmly: He kicked the attackers balls and walked away. So there is something for us to really learn from this funny little man.
Once Fabien let Zidane, the arabian immigrant, kiss the majestethic head of Fabien. A mistake IMO.
There is some really tightly packed temper in Fab. For example once Bard was enjoying a cold beer in a cafe near Milan, when the bartender asked for an autograph. Barthez wrote one and handed it over to his own pocket. The bartender's was like :confused: and Barthez the middle-age bard like :D.
Barthez also has some really special rituals. He sometimes brushes his ass with a toothbrush before matches. He sometimes also turns around three times clockwise and once the other way. Then he sticks a finger into his popoloch for 5 seconds.
There we have now some examples and points, why Fabien Barthez is so cool. I think he belongs to the top of the wall of fame of football alongside with Zinedine Zidane, the headbanger. Of course Marco Pantani would also belong there, but the only problem is that his sport is cycling, not football kicking.
