Absolute Class!

Got there at about 9, in the gates at 9:15 down to the first row. Session started at about 10:15. Great training session from the lads. They used all parts of the field so all fans could see. Great photp and Video opportunities.

At the end, most players did autographs. As in LA, Keane was the last one out there. At point a cop told him enough because people were getting pushed up front. He ignored and kept on signing. He was out there a good 45 minutes at least.

Also got Scholes, Giggs, Howard, Ole, Phil Neville, Rio, Bellion and O'Shea

Good fun, during their practice game, Keano was mad as ever. One thing I noticed was that ever there was a break, other players would chat and drink but Ruud was always playing with a ball.
Got lots of autographs like herecomesoshea and my photo with Keano before he boarded the bus.
Check out the pics:

Great shot, Pops. I'm jealous!

He didn't try to slide tackle you, did he? He's a crafty one, that Keane. :)

What was that Father Ted about letting Keano have it about Ireland?

Just wondering...was this training session open to the public or did you have a special pass of some sort, if it was public then I wish I knew about this and went down there for some photos....

I got my ticket from herecomesoshea...yes they were special passes but I saw one family on my way in get free passes at the stadium ticket booth so guess it could have been "free".

The autographs I got were Keano, Carroll, Rio, Richardo, Fletcher, O'Shea, Bellion, Giggs, Forlan & THo. Keano waited the longest, other players who stayed quite a while signing were Richardo, Rio, Fletcher and Fortune. I was with a few waiting near their bus as they came out afterwards and thats where I got most of my autographs. Actually Butt blew right pass everyone and Ruud told me "I gotta go". Inexcusable! :D

One girl from England started crying with joy after she had her photo taken with Giggs and her hubby was tryin to calm her down. I was talking with some of the Rutgers soccer team afterwards who were in the dressing room with the team, they were telling me they were joking around with their new pals Ruud and Seba.

Keane and Scholes took part in all the training session so I would guess that their injuries are cleared up. I didnt see Gary Neville, is he injured?

i wanted so much to go to that. but i went to the game at giants stadium. absolutely sensational. i've never been in as much awe at a sporting event. i got there early and watched them warm up. i had tix up top but i made my way down to the tunnel where the players walked out. i got pictures, many pictures. i couldn't believe that i was seeing saf, keano, scholes, giggsy, etc. 10 yards away from me. that was very cool. if i had a phto shop thing i'd scan them on. how do you do that anyway?

father ted did you remember to heckle keane?

As for Keane, I've been a diehard United supporter since the 70's and I admired Keane as a player. But the way he messed around the team before the World Cup is unforgivable. The real kick in the teeth for Irish fans is when he leads everyone to believe that he would return to the Irish team after McCarthy left and when it happens, he turns around and lies to Brian Kerr and lets his country down for the final time.
I loved him as a player for United and Ireland but he was wrong and I plan to heckle at Giants Stadium on July 31.

neville had an hamstring injury i think and went to manchester

Here is news on the new chapter on Keane's book:

If, as he later claimed, Brian left our meeting with a clear impression that I would be coming back, I don't blame him. As we parted there were more positives than negatives in the equation. The change in attitude I'd been agitating for was now top of the agenda. Arguably, that placed some obligation on me to play my part.
...
However, all the positives withered away in the face of his surgeon's advice. "In the cold light of the following day, when I went to see the manager to discuss a possible international comeback, I had to face some other realities, one principally: my responsibility to United.

"I was just regaining match fitness. I'd already missed half a season. The advice of Mr Villar (surgeon) to rest whenever possible in order to avoid any recurrence of my hip problems could not really be squared with the demands of an international return."
