2010 question

I have noted a great pessimism and confusion in the last days about the situation of a possible expansion of the NYCFC in MLS in 2010.
I think that is necessary some explanation and I know that Kubah, Cosmos, Southpaw , Queensnick and the Borough Boys can reply to my 2 important questions :

1. I know that Garber in own last declarations have said that not later than next March 30 will be choise the 16th team for MLS 2009 and above all that probably the next November 2008 will be choise the 17th team and 18th team for MLS 2010. Instead on some thread of Bigsoccer I often read that 17th and 18th teams there will be only in MLS 2012 !!!
I think that I am right and that there will be 18 teams in the 2010.
What is the truth ?

2. I think that the only right thing for MLS is to put NYCFC in MLS as 18th team in 2010 !!! I hope that Garber, Wilpon and Bloomberg know the enthusiam ( the petition for example ) of many New Yorkers and not New Yorkers for this dream.
Even in this case in the other threads of Bigsoccer I read only of Philadelphia, St Louis, Miami and now even Detroit about the next expansion !!!

To be honest I dont know what the truth might be as I am not in office with Garber and his boys. But I can tell you this. The league wants and needs a team in NYC. They know that for RBNY to fully develop they need a rivalry and they are going to to what it takes to make it happen. NYC is coming I'm confident of that. Besides I have good sources with construction companies telling me so as well. lol lol

I think that 2010 seems like a solid year. It also seems very much within reach. I think that between now and the beginning of the season we are going to start getting more news. Then tid bits throughout the year and then again with the State of the League in 2008. We just have to have patience and give it time. It's coming and we will sooner be cheering against our favorite rivals.
