I don't know why really. I personally have no problem with them, but wanted to start a thread on here, and they seemed an easy target because of their violent/thuggish reputation.

Any comments?

Although not a Milwall fan, I did go to their home game on Saturday (2-0 v Wigan).

On the evidence of my experience, match day there is not the threatening event that people imagine.

Although I dare say that could change with the opposition (and I remember the original Den being a sinister place).

Only one security incident; a rather portly gentleman in the Wigan contingent was being subject to loud comments on his size. He rather good humouredly gave back some responses to this (waved his beer-belly etc) but then found himself seized by the security guards, presumably as he was acting provocatively.

All a bit silly, I thought, but I dare say that given their reputation Millwall take no chances.
