Looking for managers. The desired league size is 8-16 teams. Here is the current schedule:

Recruit managers.

JAN 15
Open website, which will include the comprehensive ruleset.

FEB 1
Confirm league size. Modify ruleset if necessary.

FEB 15
Begin "slow phase" of draft.

MAR 1
If necessary, post schedule for "speeding up" and finishing draft.

???
Preseason window opens for transactions.

???
Preseason window closes for transactions. Further transactions from this point into the season will be under the guise of the ruleset posted on the website.

???
Season begins.



Interested managers please post in this thread rather than sending a pm (so this thread stays relatively visible). I am also recruiting in other venues, so don't assume that openings exist based solely on interest expressed in this thread.

Aviators is reconfirming interest in a drafted MLS league.

Scott, I think we have each other's email address. I'll send you a separate reconfirmation of interest to the email account I have listed for you to ensure we have connectivity.

With Mark Wheeler's permission, (allowing us to have a 2nd team in MFLS that was not elligible for overall awards), we tried a drafted league beta test with MFLS two years ago. We had two division with 6 teams per division. We handled our drafting similar to what we do on the other various drafted leagues you see referred to in this thread. As MLS is explanding the teams, it is probably appropriate to reopen the concept of a drafted MLS fantasy soccer competition.
