Both the Carolina RailHawks Men's and Women's squads will be holding open tryouts on Friday and Saturday, December 21st and 22nd. The public is invited to attend all sessions which will be held at SAS Soccer Park.
The men's tryout, which will feature 48 hopeful soccer players from North America, Europe, and Africa starts at 10am on Friday and runs through 1pm with the women's tryouts, featuring 30 participants, starting at 1pm and continuing through 4pm. The tryouts will continue on Saturday at the same times.
Last year, RailHawks' starting keeper Chris McClellan earned his roster spot after catching the attention of coach Scott Schweitzer during the open tryouts. In addition, Phillip Long, Philip Kutsu and David Sartorio were among the open tryout participants who parlayed their opportunity into a roster position during the RailHawks inaugural season.
