COMMENTS:

Manchester City

SGE regarding keeper selection:

"It is very close between them, although we have planned for a long time to play Hart in this game."

"They have been prepared for it and will no doubt be waiting on Wednesday to hear what I have to say. I have been pleased with the attitude of all three goalkeepers."

"They have been fantastic, very professional and are working extremely hard. It is difficult choosing a number one but I have to do it. I wanted to give Andreas Isaksson a run because it is important not to judge people without giving them a chance."

"It is very difficult for a goalkeeper if they are playing one match in, one match out. It is not a good solution."

SGE regarding Elano's likely return:

"He wants to play every game. It is no secret he has been very important to us and behind a lot of our goals."

Tottehham

Juande Ramos regarding City's home record:

"City's home record is very impressive and it will be difficult to get any reward there, but if we play as well as we can, we can do it. It is a competition we are happy to be in and a competition we want to win."

"I don't think the match against City at our stadium will have any bearing on the game up there but I believe my players are getting to know what is expected of them. I've been very pleased with the last few games."

Juande Ramos regarding Spurs' striker situation:

"We have four strikers who are all at a very high level and we must try to use them all as much as we can."

First Home Loss.

That's crap, at least it isn't in the league where it would actually mean something.

This is really only the kissing your sister cup, doesn't mean anything so i'm not too devastated. We need to concentrate on the League IMO.

I can't believe we fielded a top squad and got beat by Berbetov nearly all the game. Defoe got the winner, but 'ol Berby should be a target for Citeh, but I can't imagine him wanting to play for us after this one.

Gross.

i somewhat disagree. Winning the Carling Cup is a ticket to the UEFA cup. This was a pathetic loss as Tottenham was down to 10 men. I thought City would be fired up after losing to the Spurs already 10 days ago. I guess there's some teams we just can't beat.

This pisses me off. Steed Malbranque........ how many time has this guy killed us? He killed us when he was with Fullham. Staurt Pearce tried to buy him but he won't come. I hate this guy.

It's sucks that we can't beet the Spurs.

are we still buying Dafoe? Please buy him before our next game vs Spurs. I am sick of him killing us over and over again. He scored the winner 10 days ago, and he killed us in the Carling Cup.
