A trip is in the future, according to Parry:

Rick Parry has confirmed that Liverpool will look to further their appeal in America next following their highly successful Far East tour.
The Reds party returned to England yesterday having made thousands more friends in Thailand and Hong Kong following a week-long tour and Parry has admitted North America is likely to be the next area where the club will seek to expand their global brand.
He said: "Next year is a European Championship year so we'll have to be conscious about that but without doubt we'll be looking to do something in North America in the relatively near future.
"I can't commit to whether it will be next year or the year after but it will be soon for sure."
Meanwhile, Liverpool's successful tour of the Far East has led to them making plans to open club stores in the region. Parry added: "That's a long term project and only something we'll do in conjuntion with Reebok. It's not something we'd go into on our own.
"Hopefully the tour has done that bit more to create awareness, but it's more a reward for our existing fans which there are obviously a huge amount of in the Far East."

...nearly all of them untouched by soccer fans.
Oh, come on. You set yourself up for that one. It would be a shame to not say that.

That's why they need the Mighty Reds to visit.
My thoughts on KC attendance are if footy breaks through here it can break through anywhere.
BTW, for this year's attendance, KC's average is higher than DC!!
Kansas City 15,497
DC United 15,273

Yeah, well that's because your team doesn't suck.

Obviously you didn't see us against Chicago last week. But your point is well taken.

I did, actually (nice hands, Tony), but you're still better than us.

That was just awful wasn't it! I know you laughed your "arse" off. :(
I felt sorry for the 15 or so Wizards fans who made the road trip up there. Certainly our worst match of the season.
Quite a comeback you lot had though. I ended up reading the whole DC thread for that match after the fact as I was bored at work. Starts out with "we suck, worst team ever, fire Ray" and ends up with "we are the best ever, greatest comeback since Man U over Bayern", funny stuff.

I didn't even bother to read that thread. By the time I got online (late Sunday night) there were more posts than I was in the mood to skim through. Ray still sucks, though.

I really think Liverpool would enjoy a trip to Hawaii myself.

True. You are in North America, and the opposing squad wouldn't argue, either. Just lay a proper pitch in that ol' Hula Bowl place. If you get a chance. :)

I'm sure they could suffer through the agony of Hawaii for a month or so, just for their fans.
Especially in February, might be a conflict though.

Which seems strange to me. Not like you can't grow grass in Hawaii. I know lots of people who do it quite well. :)

I'm not a Liverpool supporter, but I'd like to see them over here as well.
I just hope tickets aren't so expensive.

Last time I was over that way was in my California hippy days in the late 60's. We hiked the Kalalau trail on the North Shore of Kawaii. Fantastic!
Man we were so cool, Afro’s, pukka shell beads (made off the beach in Hanalai Bay), cut offs and a botabag filled with ‘Spanada’
Far out man.http://www.cnduk.org/gifs/smallr~1.gif
