I've heard that Yahoo! isn't going to do their Fantasy EPL League this year, is this true? :(

The England version of Yahoo has it at:
http://yahoo.fantasyleague.com/index.asp

But it costs 10 quid.

The US version of yahoo has a link that says "Coming Soon" dunno if it is free or not.

www.premierleague.com is free and a better game anyway.

I heard that yahoo are doing the free one but they are going to leave it to the last minute to launch it as they want to get as many people as they can signed up to the paying version.

I thought yahoo were just gonna have a pay to play system, so I was pleased to read this thread.

I'm used to the yahoo system and by contrast the premierleague.com one keeps sending me into an endless loop of registering and signing in. I don't have the time to deal with that type of jive.

So yahoo it is again for me this season.

If anyone has a yahoo league, let me (us) know.

Right now I'm in "Fans of Tottenham Hotspur" (around 133 players so far) but it would be nice to play in a smaller league as well, but I can't be arsed to create one this season. So if anyone starts a Big Soccer league, let me (us) know.

Thanks again for the info daniel, motter and texan.

Yahoo pisses me off since they are so slow updating. Oh well, it's free.

Looks like a problem with the Yahoo scores. They were correct earlier this week, but they changed. They will probably be fixed before anyone reads this post.

For those who haven't done Yahoo before, they have more than a few errors throughout the year. (Hey I'm not whining: it's free!) They're pretty fast about fixing them, but ironically, when there's an error is often a good time to make some lineup changes.

... Had a pretty poor Week 1 (~54 pts). We'll see what Week 2 brings ...

Good turnout for the Big Soccer league at Yahoo in the end.

The design of the game is very good IMHO, but the points awarded for player performances verge on the bizarre.

A few weeks ago, Baros provided a superb assist for Liverpool (Owen I think) to score a goal, and he got minus points. I only saw the highlights, but I didn't read anywhere that he had an awful game.

Just one example of Yahoo's odd way of awarding player performance points.

Like someone said before - it's free. But it should at least be reasonably accurate. Unless they improve that aspect this will be my last season with them.

So how is everyone doing so far in this crazy yahoo season?
