Since it seems I'm running on some luck posting these match threads and us winning two big games I'll continue. After a big road win and much added confidence we face Man City again who we beat at home a week ago. No Keane due to suspension and Man City won't be with Ireland. Elano for Man City might return so that could cause issues. Dawson again might not be able to play due to his illness. No word on either King or Rocha at the moment but be a great bonus if they are fit but I'm not holding my breath for that. So, if no Dawson look for the same back combo to go again.

Should be a tough tough matchup. I say we win again....2-0 yeah.. back to back clean sheets and another away victory right before we go and take a dump on ARSE Field this Saturday :D

This is a match that we can win, though the Mancs are strong at home--I may be mistaken, but it seems to me that the fortunes of their campaign this year have rested on their strong play at home. No doubt Sven & Co will be motivated to get a win, so I shouldn't expect light competition. Zorks as a CB again?--might not be a bad idea, I thought he did well against Pompey. It doesn't look like Dawson will be back, so it seems that Zorks may keep his spot in the back. I have heard/read rumours that a return for Leds is imminent but most say it will be against the Scum, if he is ready he might sit out tomorrow in anticipation of the weekend--or get a light run. I doubt he will be back for tomorrow or NLD, though...
In the interest of putting my money where my mouth is (;)): I think that this will be match won in the second half; Spurs to win, 1-0.

Strong at home is an understatement - 9 wins out of 9 for them. I expect a much different game to the league game at WHL - they won't leave Vassell on his own up front. Elano coming back would be a very big concern.

They are back in the top 4, so maybe they will not be too concerned about this competition. We, on the other hand, have to take it very seriously, as it is our most likely route into Europe next year.

If there's a chance of Ledley playing Saturday, I think he should get some time as a sub in this game. But I suspect it is still a bit too soon, much as I'd love him to line up against l'Arse.

I'll be optimistic and say we sneak it 2-1 in extra time, or win on penalties.

Well it turns out the Ledley was not in the Ressies squad tonight against Liverpool. It was thought that this would be his last warm-up. So we may just see the King back in action, which could turn the tide in regards to both defending and inspiration.

I personally would rather see us vet King against Citeh (no disrespect meant to them) in a Cup game for his return than waste him at Arsenal, where even my heart can't conjure up the faith that we will even draw.

I don't have a good feeling about this.

I think that if we win against Man City that we will be flying high and that could be just enough for us to pull points from the Rivalry game next week.

Anyone know if the game is going to be televised. I didn't see the Man City game on setanta so Im wondering if anyone has any inside info. If it is not shown then can someone get the goals or highlights from a link to let us see what happened.

Also Electric enjoy your time man have fun.

I don't think it is on in the States, but I'm pretty sure you can listen to it on BBC London--the commentators are good (hope you understand English English, china ;)) and its free, all you need is real player. They usually do every match, so its a safe bet. I'll post the goals on my blog as soon as I can get 'em.
C'mon, cd, we can beat the Scum!:)

It is being televised in Australia but i doubt i will watch it live as it starts at 7am and i have to be at work by 8

I hate having to go all day at work without finding out the score and then going home to see spurs put in a lackluster performance so i hope thats not the case tomorrow

Defoe for Bent is the only change from the win at Portsmouth.

Unfortunately this may mean some tired legs out there today. Hopefully Ramos has some more brilliant tactical decisions in his back pocket and can make it work for us.

I'm not sure he'll be able to get it done today, though. Elano's going to be a handful. I hate to say it, but I'm leaning towards a 3-1 loss (though the score will flatter City a bit).

Bent's injury is news to me...but I do think that Defoe deserved the start regardless (yes, I am aware of all the shite I have talked about Defoe, but if he helps us win--like he did against the Mancs last time--I'll be happy to eat my words--again:)). Bit nervous about not having any strikers on the bench...

I suppose you could view Taarabt as a potential replacement for a striker (he's on the bench instead of Boateng), though he's more of a creative type.

So Dawson not back... and King not even on bench. :( Can't see us shutting them out.
