If Barthez is benched for the beginning of the season, that would pretty much be a guarantee he'd leave: big contract, prestige player, etc. I don't think Man U would want him to go so I expect him to start and only be benched if he continues to have poor form. And if he is I'll gladly spend some of that 7 mil elsewhere :)
