It is quite confusing at times and not something for somebody thin on patience to try.
We are @ the 6th round now-after a full week-and even though we will get it done in time i am now at the point where i'm sending PM's to everybody to get a bit of urgency in their picks.

We will have this problem here as well.
I would suggest another meet @ some stage during the week, even if it's only for 1 hour, to bang out another few rounds.It is also unfair on Michel on central European time to be waiting late into the night in the hopes of geting a single pick in.

I won't even open them until it gets to your turn and you could always send multiple pm's with one player in each message so I don't see future choices.

I must agree that 5 hours between picks is a bit much for those of us trying to keep regular tabs on the draft. Maybe those who are unavailable for blocks of time should let everyone else know when they'll be away, then perhaps leave proxy picks so the draft doesn't stall. This is also an imperfect system, though, since we're in the rolling portion now and managers shouldn't get stuck with players they don't want simply because they're dealing with real life issues.

I fear I'm out for perhaps the whole day tomorrow, an unwilling passenger on a pointless trip to pick up a car. Hopefully the 6 before my next pick all show up tonight and my absence will coincide with time I won't be needed. Knowing I'll be away, though, I've prepared 3 choices I'd take with my pick and can easily provide them to someone else if need be. I recommend similar preparations for anyone who expects to be away, in fairness to everyone.

It's 20 hours since I made my last pick.... yes... just 3 hours sleep.

I really do move that we establish a generous but reasonable time limit for drafts, keeping in mind that most aren't looking at this phase as "live." Somewhere in the 3-4 hour range, then accept having others make your pick for you. Managers can avoid this, as I said before, by PMing a list of choices to someone who will be active.

I do think I have some objective authority in this matter; during last year's draft I had to spend a whole day moving apartments and got back to find that something like 4-5 picks had been made in my name and without my knowledge. I considered that fair, tinkered a little, and still had a pretty successful season. I think any manager in a similar situation would have to accept such treatment as the most fair solution for the league as a whole.
