This thread is for comments, positive and negative, regarding his appointment as River's new coach. I for one, wanted Borghi behind the bench due to my belief that Simeone is somewhat overrated. We'll see though. Like he stated, it all begins with the first game against Gimnasia de Jujuy in February of 2008.

They need to get rid of the president first...but I think Simeone will stand up to the president and make his demands for players and if they do not fulfill his requests he'll surely leave. Simeone has a burning desire to win all the time and he'll try everything he can to win...you can beat your a$$ on it...but I wouldn't keep any high hopes for him until the end of the season when River is champion till then its all speculation and bs...

Diego Simeone dio a conocer los jugadores juveniles que irán a la pretemporada en Mar del Plata. Además se confirmó que Federico Lussenhoff, Sixto Peralta, Matías Abelairas y René Lima se quedarán en Buenos Aires.
