No Kahn (club suspension)
No Sagnol (back)
No Toni (hamstring strain)
No Lucio (league suspension)
No Jansen (surgery)
No Ailtontop (surgery)

That is the injured reserve list of players who will likely NOT make the trip.
Basically 5-6 starters.

So, here is my thoughts on a lineup...

.............Rensing
Lell.....DVB...Micho....Lahm
.........MVB.......Ze.........
Ribery.................Schweini
........Klose....Podolski.......

The interchangeable parts here are Sosa and Schweini and Ribery... it is a given Ribery is on the pitch to start. Whom OH puts on the other side is only his guess.

Possibly could we see Schlaudraff in up top or wide? Is that too much to ask?

Yea thats probably the line up Ottmar will go for. I'd like to see Kroos get some playing time in this game as well. It's about time Poldi gets some minutes...he was doing so well a couple of weeks ago.

Losing Kahn is beneficial to us IMO. Rensing gets more minutes, he's gotten a lot already this season.

i'm guessing schweiny gets the start over sosa, considering his horrible performance last week

Agreed and I would like to see Poldi play as well. He has really worked hard to get into the linuep, and was excellent in all of the matches that he has recieved substantial minutes in.

I think this game is on GOLTV at 10:30am CST... it looks like they simply made an error on the schedule listing LINK (http://www.goltv.tv/en_index.php?date=20071215&tz=central&lang=en&target=schedule/scheduleinc)

Side Note: :D Breno transfer confirmed on GOLTV.com as well (http://www.goltv.tv/en_index.php?target=en_noticiasafp&sort=id&newsid=24595)

I had that Breno transfer confirmed 2 days ago!
GTV will show the Bremen - Leverkusen match live, since it's 2nd vs 4th. Then the Bayern match.

With Schlaudraff we only have one semi-striker on the bench. Why not leave Ottl at home and take Wagner with us?

Ottmar likes Ottl a lot more than some Bayern fans and I guess he's going with experience and an option in case something happens with MvB and Ze.

Or he could experiment like this:

Ribery-Schweini-Ze/Bommel-Kroos

Honestly, who the fook likes Ottl in here? He's so average, I just want to go in the field when he's playing and kick his ass out...

I actually like Ottl but I am in the obvious minority. Ottl is a DM so you're not going to see much attacking from him so he'll always look average in the formation we're playing. But he has impressed on several occassions before this season, especially the game against Inter last year where he was our best player.

That said, I think he'll eventually get loaned out and sold because I doubt Hitzfeld or whoever out next coach will be will prefer him to anchor our midfield in the future. They'll probably go and get a big name after Ze and MvB are done.

I'll be conservative, only 5-0 to the Alte Dame :)

But Hitzfeld also brings Hummels and Fürstner, no need for Ottl. Just seems dangerous to bring only one attacker.

Furstner too? I thought he was only bringing Hummels. Won't Sosa be on the bench as well? Sosa, Schlaudraff and Kroos are good attacking options from the bench.

According to Kicker.
And although Kroos, Sosa and Ribery are there, none of the are strikers. Seeing how we've got trouble scoring lately, it seems odd not to opt for a real striker on the bench.

Yea in theory it is weird but we've got enough attacking options to be able to win. I'm not worried by this at all.

I just hope Schlaudraff gets a bit of playing time at some point this game. I can only hope the team finally puts together a good game and is in a position where we can maybe sub out Klose for him.

I still don't think Sosa played all that poorly last week. He didn't really seize the opportunity or whatever like he ideally should have, but I think it was ok under the circumstances. I just want to see these new guys get a chance here or there if the usual guys aren't getting it done. And nothing against Kroos, but I don't mean him... he'll have plenty of time.

From my view there is nothing better than our last matches.
