We've got the Champions League hurdle out of the way for now...anything but a win here and we could be out of the running for the league...

Depends on whether he is ok for the match or not...but i would start him ahead of Momo for such a big game

Kujt goes again --- Other than that its my side. Would love to have D.Agger but I'd wait and run him out in the Careless Cup. Mascherano must play --- I will love to watch him get stuck in on Tevez.

My stomach is already churning on this one. Win this and we are really in the frame for the title. Lose and it isn't over, but it is gonna be awfully difficult to recover.
Play wingers and play Torres.

Listening to the BBC 606 phone in last week and the Mancs predicting this would be the week of Liverpool's demise at the hands of Marseille, themselves, and Chelsea makes me really want to beat these fools even worse than before. If there's a silver lining to the abortion at the Madjeski last weekend, its that this game becomes more of a must win for our league ambitions.
And, for the love of the season, will someone please knock that <unt Ronaldo on his diving, Portuguese ass.
2-1 Liverpool.

Play wingers and play Torres.ME TOO!!!
Our record after playing CL matches or international breaks is simple scary. We need this more than Manure, I'm not sure who (or why) will play or what tactics Rafa will use and that makes for a very nervous Ken.

I think Babel will make another substitute appearance in this one, but he won't start. I like AussieLFC's lineup.

Except I'd go with Kuyt instead of Voronin.

I'm curious to see how Masch recovers from that nasty (unintentional) studs-up challenge from Sami. He came back on the pitch yesterday, and there are few in the game harder than El Jefecito, but that's the type of injury that could linger for a week or so.
If Masch can't go, I'd put Lucas in there. Call me crazy, but I think he'd be up to the challenge and could pull the strings from deep. It's certainly a huge game, and a bit of a trial by fire for the young lad, but he's exceeded expectations so far and should be familiar with Anderson, his Brazil U-20 teammate.
This game is ripe for some revenge. How long since we've beaten the Scum? Feels like forever...

I loved it when he just chipped the one over his head while everybody else was looking for it.

Yep, time to consider this match now, I guess.
Reina
Finnan - Hyypia - Carragher - Arbeloa
Kewell - Mascherano - Gerrard - Riise
Crouch - Torres
I predict a crap game with a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.

Well you might get that result with the team you've chosen. ;) I think you've managed to out Rafa Rafa.
I'd go almost with the same side -if no injuries- as that against Marseille. Thats was Tuesday, this games Sunday, thats close enough to a week rest.

Finnan----Carra----Sami-----Arbs
--------------Masch-------------
Yossi--------Capt MBE------'Arry
----------Kuyt------Torres-------
Subs- Itandje, Babel, Riise, Crouchinho, Lucas

The only thing i want is for Lucas to start ahead of Momo if Masch cant play...even though Lucas might give a few balls away with nerves etc, you cant play a player in such bad form...play Momo vs Chelsea in Carless Cup and let him kick whoever he wants...id love to see Momo go crazy vs Chelsae and leave a few bruises :D
Finnan should definitely start this game

Talk about your rotation, Ferguson used a carling cup squad today against Roma. Prick. And Gon so'gay got himself hurt anyway.
Im not sure about us but they will probably start the usual suspects:
.....Blunder Star
Clown Vidicule BirdinHand Nevra
Bald Scold Flying Pigs Owing Halfbrave Thin Ronalda
Goonie Ha-Ha
This sort of thing.
It would be very very nice to win this game 3-0.

Hey Wingtips will you explode if we draw Sevilla on Friday?????
basically, yes. i'll be over on the island for a vacation in april, so i'm hoping that we are still in the competition at that point and drawn against them so I can kill two birds with one stone.
but if we do draw them, i'll most likely be on a plane headed for the Iberian...
