I can see Toja in Werder Bremen. Anyone agree?
so so so random !!! haha like i was tring to read all these rumors then all these huge teams haha. I wouldnt mind seeing Toja in a top Coca Cola league team in england and then in a year or 2 going to 1st div. I dont see him as a big 4 euro league player yet
he needs to prove this year was legit and he is this good, and that its not just the MLS
hopefully the US will play colombia in a friendly in teh US or something and he gets a shot

I do see your point. The ankle injury really sort of messed things up, because it didn't allow a very consistent season (after a year of not playing, except for the RP reserves . . . or did he even play much for them?). If he can come back next year and look strong (as he did in the first half) and more consistent, then he might have more offers for other clubs . . . Great for him . . . sad for us in Texas! :)
Now, THAT would be sweet (a friendly between Colombia & USA)! Any chance of that happening any time soon? Are all of the friendlies scheduled?

I'm tired of US - Colombia or Mexico - Colombia in US/MEXICO territory. I'd even love to see it in a neutral pitch in Europe. Example -- tons of Colombians in Holland :)

A couple of weeks ago someone asked what the MLS teams did in the post season. FC Dallas is playing in a tribute tournament for Shaka Hislop in Trinidad and Tobago Nov 30 - Dec 2. FC Dallas and Brasilian team CAP (Clube Atletico Paranaense)
Players are under contract until December 31. But will have most of December and all of January off for vacation. Training begins in February for the next season.
During this time Juan Toja's contract status will be determined. He is on loan from Santa Fe until the end of 2007, but FC Dallas has an option to buy his contract.

Juan Toja's contract 'option' to continue to be a player in MLS for FC Dallas has been picked up AND FC Dallas is in negotiations to buy his contract from Santa Fe/Agents.
Here is a link (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=632240) to the discussion on the Dallas boards

haha wow be funny if it happens but 2 years seems really quick like get off the boat and ur on the NT :).... u guys will have to stop talking shit about the Mexis after
Pinto is going to call Angel so Toja might have a shot.... Conde on the other hand wont, as their are too many CBs in big teams in Europe. Only thing is I dont want to call up Toja just so the U.S cant cause thats messed up, as we basically did with Vald Marin so Boliva wouldnt use him

Crzd . . . are you crazy? :) I don't see Toja wanting to play for the US, just to play at the national level. From everything I've read about/from him, I would think that he only wants to play for Colombia. He seems proud of his heritage. I do hope he gets the chance, though.
Hey . . . is/was Toja friends with Falcao Garcia? I see that he's doing well at River.

Oh, I figured that. :) I think he's funny and enjoy his crazy comments over on the FCD forum. But he needs to support FCD, not NE. Our opening day game (FCD vs. Chivas) will be on Telefutura.

Cool, we've reached a thread part 2. Between Chazsoccer & me, we'll keep this thread alive.
While lots of the FCD players are nice guys, Toja is absolutely my favorite player to watch . . . and photograph. :D

Lo siento a mis amigos, usted no entiende.
Toja jugará en EEUU, no para los EEUU.
Toja will play for MLS/FC Dallas - which is located in the USA.
:)
But you should be following him more closely!

that is part of the problem to follow MLS, once you a bit of interest, they get into a 3 months break!!!!!! Not right in todays futbol world....
they should have at least one team in that super-liguilla made up by mexies to select a team for copa libertadores, IMHO

And it's killing me!!! This is my first year as a true "fanatica." 3 months is forever . . . the good thing is that I am watching any futbol I can find, so I'm learning a lot about all of the other leagues.
I'm hoping that AC Milan will be playing Boca Juniors in the Fifa Club World Cup . . .

Should be a good game. AC Milan looked good. I hadn't watched Boca play until I watched the semi-final game yesterday. Okay, to tie this back to JCT (since I've gotten off-topic here). . . . I'll have to root for AC Milan, since Kaka' is not only an awesome player (and totally cute!) but also Marcelo Saragosa's best friend, and Saragosa is Toja's teammate.

I had not seen this post. If you think he is a good looking guy then you are in for a treat.
You should take a look at another one of our compatriots who is quite a looker himself. I dont mean to brag, but I'd say he is almost as handsome as I am.
Use Da Google to find images of a player who goes by the name of Jairo Patiño, preferably high resolution images.
