Steven Pienaar is anxious to extend his stay at Everton beyond this season.

The South African midfielder, on loan from German side Borussia Dortmund, loves the atmosphere at Goodison Park. Pienaar, 25, helped Everton stretch their unbeaten run to 10 games with a 3-0 victory against Fulham. He told Sky Sports News: 'I want to play (permanently) for this club. 'The supporters are unbelievable. They are always behind the team. 'My colleagues are so friendly and so warm, I think everyone would want to play for a club like this.'
I really hope once the year long loan is over with Moyes picks him up for a contract. He's done great for us so far and keeps impressing me every game.

It would be the worst piece of (non)business Moyes ever did if he didn't pick him up.

Everton would love to have you, Steven ... even if people still can't spell your name correctly. :p

Nice qualifier, Bill. Otherwise, I would've suggested the Kroldrup fiasco.

Wasn't an option to make this deal permanent part of the original loan deal? With a price already agreed to between Everton and Dortmund? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Yes a deal of around £2 million was reportedly available to Everton after the loan period had finished.
He is a fantastic player with pace, flair and for a little lad, strength and bite. He takes a bit of pressure off Arteta as well as the provider. Against Fulham, Mikel was non existent and Pienaar was in his element and produced one of his best performances yet. Moyes would be stupid not to snap him up. He will sign, just not in January.

Couldn't agree more.

If the £2 million is right, I definitely think we'll keep him!

£2m Would be an utter bargain to keep Pienaar here. I'd be willing to pay up to £7m for him.
I was sort of skeptical when he first came, thinking he had some big boots to fill but Manuel who?

It will be true, but I think we will wait until March or April, like we did with Timmy Tourettes.

If the price is already set, keep the 2 mil in the bank for a few more months. Let Dortmund assume the risk for a while.
