Everton travel to West Ham this Wednesday for a quaterfinal Carling Cup match.
Not sure if this one will be webcast, since it isn't listed over at soccertv.com
The last time Everton advanced this far in the League Cup was in the 1987-88 season, when we were knocked out by Arsenal in the semi-finals.
Everton has made the League Cup finals twice, but has yet to win the competition.

It's our year for some silverware.

It'll be difficult to win the FA Cup since the top clubs tend to take that one seriously.
((the last club not in the "Top 4" to win the FA Cup was Everton back in 1995))
But hopefully we'll have a shot at the League Cup, since the top clubs don't seem to field their best lineups in the thing until the Final.
Since our FA Cup victory in 1995, the League Cup has been won about 1/2 the time by clubs outside the Top 4:
1996: Aston Villa
1997: Leicester City
1999: Tottenham Hotspur
2000: Leicester City
2002: Blackburn Rovers
2004: Middlesbrough
Thus, of the 2nd tier, "respectfully good" EPL teams, only Everton and Newcastle have been shutout from League Cup wins in the last dozen years.
So as Sara says, it's our year!
((thankfully, Newcastle looks to be shut out yet another season from winning silverware :) ))

I'll be in attendance for this game to cheer on the mighty royal blues. We have sold our allocation of around 3,300 tickets apparently and under floodlights it should be a very good atmosphere.
I'd keep the same side that has do fanstastically over the last couple of games. If it aint broke why fix it? Just a small shuffle, Lescott in at left back for the injured Baines and Jagielka to fill in at centre back.
Looking forward to it. 0-1, Yakubu.

You know a year or two ago, I would have given up hope right after West Ham scored.
Now I have complete confidence we'll at least give them a fight.

Watching a Ukrainian? stream, works fine.
Everton look pretty good, West Ham good on the counter though. Jagielka is doing pretty well I think. Neville I think was at fault for the goal,
