How about the results this weekend!
Toffees win 3-0 :)
Even better, the Red Shiites lose to a "small" club :D
And two of our rivals for UEFA spots, Blackburn and Man City, lose to weaker teams.
A few more weeks like this, and we might work our way back into the Top 4. :)

Since when were Tottenham a weaker team?
Since this season.
I expect Man City be in contention for a UEFA Cup spot for the remainder of the season.
While Spurs will be fortunate to finish in the top half of the table.

While Spurs will be fortunate to finish in the top half of the table.Absolute garbage, they've just had a poor start in bizarre circumstances. They haven't become a bad side overnight.
It wouldn't surprise me if they finish in the top 6. I'd put my mortgage on them finishing top-half.

No way they've lost WAY too much ground. I'd say Spurs will finish 8th, 9th, or 10th.
That's provided their luck turns around. And quick.

Spurs will have to go on quite a run to catch up with the 4-9 teams, although they do have the talent to do so.
Good weekend of scores though. Especially since we're coming up on a tough stretch of games ourselves.

My dream scenario for next weekend:
Everton hammers the Hammers 3-0 at Upton Park
(I can feel this one in my bones :) )
Man Utd routs Liverpool at Anfield 3-0
(Rooney! Rooney! Rooney!)
Spurs beat Pompey at Fratton Park
(No problem, Scouse?)
Bolton beats Man City at the City of Manchester Stadium
(pretty unlikely :( )
Net result?
The Toffees move up into 4th place. :D

Which would mean they would be at the top half....

I really doubt that Tottenham finish in the top 6 -- they just have too much ground to catch up.
Spurs are 15 pts behind both Portsmouth and Man City, and 11 or 12 pts behind Everton, Villa, and Blackburn.
For Spurs to finish in the Top 6, Tottenham would have to win or draw almost every remaining game.
And almost all of the good clubs (Portsmouth, Man City, Everton, etc) would have to start playing mediocre or worse for the rest of the season.

Tottenham WILL finish top 6. They always manage it.

Always?
Spurs finished 5th last season, and the previous season.
But prior to that, they had NEVER finished in the top 6 in the Premier League.
((their last top 6 finish prior to 2005-06 was back in 1989-90))

But they've always been a team that finishes in the top half, regardless. Finishing 5th in the last two season I think indicates they're good enough to come back from this.

Man Utd routs Liverpool at Anfield 3-0
(Rooney! Rooney! Rooney!)Ugh, anyone but Rooney tho...
How about a hattrick of hilarious own-goals from Hyypia/Carragher/Gerrard. That'd make my day.

Don't know what all the Spurs love is about but they're in too deep a hole to finish anywhere near a European spot. They'd not only need to run off a string of wins (not wins and draws), something they haven't been able to do in quite awhile, but they'd also need a bunch of other teams to start to fall off and I don't see any in the top 8 vulnerable at present to that situation.
Simply put, Spurs will be finishing around 11th to 14th.

Not a perfect weekend, but pretty good so far.
Everton (sort of) hammers the Hammers 2-0 at Upton Park. :D
Spurs beat Pompey at Fratton Park.
(you're a genius, Scouse. :) )
But City comes from behind to beat Bolton at the City of Manchester stadium.
(oh well -- we can't have everything)
Everton are now in 6th.
And could be in 5th tomorrow if ManUre routs the RS.
Come on Rooney & Ronaldo!

One can always hope. It only needs to be 4-0.

It wasn't 4-0, but at least the RS lost.
Now that Liverpool's pretty much out of title contention, hopefully it'll dispirit them a bit and we can earn a CL spot this season. :)

They were never in title contention to begin with.
They never are.
But their deluded fans seem to think that they're up there on par with ManU, Chelsea, & Arsenal when the table over the past ten years has consistently shown otherwise.
They may not like it, but thems the facts.

You know as soon as an Evertonian starts throwing around facts to the Shite fans, the only comeback they ever have is about our trophy cabinet. ********ers.
