Let's hope for another Cottbus-like win; let's expect something in the region of 2:0.

I never realized that the official name is "Meidericher" SV Duisburg :D

Lell-------Micho-----VB-------------Lahm

--------MvB-------Ze Roberto------------

Kroos/Sosa---------------------------Ribery

---------Klose----------Toni/Poldi-----------

I'd like to see Sosa or Schlaudraff start a game but I think Ottmar will give Kroos another start. I also think he's going to rest Toni and give Poldi a go.

I think Sagnol is still injured along with Schweiny.

Schweini is fit, but I think Ottmar doesn't want to play him yet.

I hope Poldi gets to start. He was finaly comming into form before his most recent injury set-back. This is the perfect type of game for him to play. Maybe he will even knock in a couple of goals.

I'd rather see Sosa on the right. Kroos didn't look as comfortable on that side.

enough with the kroos winger experiment, let's try out the guy we spent 8-10 million euro on

and hopefully the team gets back on track in the scoring department with a blow out

I have to admit rather likely that Duisburg logo... unique, albeit 'busy'...

I think Schweini may be available for this one. Something tells me we may see his reappearance in the lineup. Same with Willy... typically, Willy's 'open forum' in the media has a agenda to it, and getting playing time is likely that agenda. I see him perhaps getting into this match. That is, if Ottmar and he have kissed and made up. ;)

However, I would personally like to see evidence as to why we purchased Schlaudraff in the first place... in otherwords, play the bastard!!! Otherwise, lets loan him out like we did Görlitz, and get him playing at least. His national team duty can't be thriving under the current conditions.

Kroos will not get any better unless he is 'seasoned' as he had the opportunity to do so last match. However, I think OH will rotate players as he likes to do and give someone else a spell. Sosa is a very legitimate option at present. Might be nice to see his worth as well.

Simple. Effective. Well stated. :)

I really would like to see Sosa with the start.

Prediction:
2-0 win
Klose and Ribery with the goals

Is Sosa even fit? He was injured for the match in Bielefeld. I haven't heard anything about his fitness yet.

Also why is everyone so high on this guy? He was abysmal in the few matches that he played. I just don't see where all of this optimism is comming from.

On the bright side, with Altintop's injury we will be seeing a rotation on RW of Schweini, Kroos, Schlaudraf IMHO. Sosa should be loaned to a side that needs him. That way he can develop, because right now he is not a Bundesliga quality player.

I haven't heard either... but can only imagine he is not...

I just want to see some players get some time, as you put so well in the below quote...
I personally would rather see Schlaudraff as I have stated above, but at this point, just some mixing up of the lineup to include any of the 2-3 alternates would be nice for us fans.

Yeah, between he or Schlaudraff, one of them need to get more regular time on the pitch somewhere else potentially. One could make the same argument for Podolski, but he at least is seeing the pitch!

How can one think he should be loaned out because of a few matches? Is it fair to judge someone after a few matches? I don't think so especially when he hasn't been given much of an opportunity to truly prove himself. Personally, I think he should be given a chance, and not just a few games chances and that's it, before saying he should be loaned out or anything else. It's not his fault that he's not been given much of a chance.

Neki, how can you expect him to play excellent when he joins a completely different league with no time to adjust? Add that to the fact that he has come on not 100% fit in some games? The reason we are optimistic is because he played very well overseas and got a call up in the national team the same day that Bayern called him up as well. He's a good talent man, not sure whether Bayern can properly use him...

Anyways, is it bad to expect a goal fest in this game? :p We haven't gotten one in one month now, and I hope I get to finally see it. 4-0 for once! I just hope they start enjoying themselves on the pitch again!

This is my problem. Most players who have good talent, but aren't acclimated to a new league at least show some glimpses. Sosa has a very poor touch, and is pretty slow. He is not suited to the Bundesliga, you can jsut see it in the way he plays.

Then you obviously have not seen the real Sosa. How can he show his abilites when he's only been in a few matches? I just don't understand how he's expected to show his abilities when he's not given ample opportunities. He may be rusty from just being on the bench. Personally, I have not given up on him because he has not had the opportunites to show what he can do. If he is given more opportunities and is not performing up to par then he can be loaned out. Until then, he needs to be given the benefit of the doubt.
