Keane told the News of the World: 'I will see how the season goes, but the next two or three...I am not so sure.

'The old Roy Keane has gone, the one that charged all over the pitch. I hope that doesn't mean the end of my career, but time is going fast.

'I have three years left on my contract. But then, what do contracts mean?'

Of course, the News of the World has been charged with fabricating quotes, most notably the Ronaldinho quotes about wanting to come to United.

But certainly this raises eyebrows, as we are all desperate to see the old Keano.

i somehow doubt and as you say notw are famous for making up quotes. But keane was one of the players that had an interview with the uk press yesterday (saturday) and i saw him on mutv and nothing similar to this was there so i have my reservations

BBC has something saying about the same thing. I cannot concieve of Manchester United without Roy Keane.

The link is to an article in The Sunday Times. Its only part of an excellent story.

I think we all know it couldnt last forever. Its a great pitty about the hip injury, but injury is an occupational hazard.
