This thread is actually faster with the ball at its feet.

This thread is going to be the best thread since the last one which was done in an entirely different format. By the way, Ty's dad played on the 1950 team that shocked England.

Really? Now that's an interesting fact I wish would come up more often...

This thread is making its best comeback since Wynalda's guided missile into the upper 90 against Switzerland.

Good job, guys. Way to get your knee over the ball.

This thread is picking up speed in mid-air.

Scary picture. Is that what happens when a white guy shows up at an Ice Cube concert?

I'll tell you what's scary. During halftime of the Rev-Metros last Saturday I turned from Jack doing the play-by-play to see what was ESPN.

It was Jack doing Sumo.

Jack Edwards: The most influential man in sports today?

I personally think he's best suited for motor sports.

Well we can now revisit the 2001 All-Star Game. Storm hit RFK and the video is gone...

Ahhh, classic Jack. Back before he got all corporate. It used to be about the catchphrases, man.

Who'd have thought we'd see Troy Dayak today.

Ticket to USMNT:$35-$70

Cost to see USMNT on cable tv:aprox $1.50(daily cost of cable)

Price of listening to Jack and Ty: one Fu#*in headache

The day ESPN drops these two as USMNT announcers: PRICELESS!

My brother called my the other night laughing hysterically. He just hear the announcer for the Tribe say "Fryman climbs the ladder to snare the line drive". Jack is slowly taking over the world. First soccer, then sumo and now baseball. Watch out Madden here come Jack!!!

Clearly a professional foul. The thread's intent is not to hurt the men...

Durning the Redskin v. 49ers game, in Japan no less, I heard an announcer describe how the reciever was able to climb the ladder to make the catch.

It's frightening to see Jack doing Little League as well. It all makes me wonder when we are going to hear that Freddy Adu is "The Danny Almonte of U-17 Soccer" :)

Maybe instead of an "all Jack channel", we could get an "all Jack Hour". This would be a designated time when the entire family of ESPN Networks - ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, ESPN Classic, ABC, ABC Family Channel (phew, did I miss any) show only Jack Edwards broadcasts. We could have Soccer, Sumo, Hockey, Little League baseball, old SportsCenter broadcasts, and whatever else he's done.

Is it just me or just the short section of the little league game I caught, or did anyone get the sense that Harold Reynolds (at least thats who i think it was) really didnt like doing the game with Jack?

I mean usually there is some interaction between announcers, but it seemed like Reynolds was pretty much ignoring everything Jack said and doing his own thing.

The ESPN Baseball Tonight guys also made a point of picking on Harold Reynolds. Sounds like HR is trying to make a name for himself at the expense of others (and himself). Apparently, after a nice catch by the Midwest Center Fielder, Harold was declaring that had to be one of the day's "Web Gems", a set of highlights from the day's action.
