So if the Brazil U-23 Olympic team wins the "Gold Cup" (how about "Tin Cup", or "Warner Bowl") tomorrow, does that mean Blatter will take our 1/2 Concanaf spot and give it to South America? :)
How about this (this IS true, I'm not making it up!):
CONCANAF regulations say that if the USA beats Costa Rica today (but not vice-versa!) and
the Brazil Mini-me's beat Mexico, the US and Mexico will meet in a home-and-away extra series to determine the REAL Concanaf champions (and thus the representatives at the "Blatter Bowl", aka Confederations Cup in 2005). This is true, I swear on my Grandmother's grave!

Costa Rica lost to Mexico in that bracket, so that's why it doesn't matter if CR wins.

In an ideal world, where the president of Fifa was not a crook, that would be the the right thing to do. Along with the other spot bought by Japan and Korea.

Wouldn't the Half-spot become a Quarter-Spot?
