Is this Sam's last game in charge? Can we follow up an encouraging display on the road with a shock home win against the league leaders?

We play our game in hand this Wednesday evening, when a rearranged fixture brings the current Premiership leaders to SJP for a 7.45pm kickoff.

The game is live in the UK on Skysports (tickets are still on sale from SJP)

"I could do with all the players fit before I pit my wits against him again. We've got a game we didn't want at this time but we've got to face up to it.

"It's two big home games on the trot (Birmingham follow on Saturday) and we've got to make sure we get something out of them.

"If we show a committed performance, like we did here, there won't be any problem with the fans.

"But what you can't do is let outside influences affect your belief."

NUFC: To follow....defensive woes continue, with Faye damaging a calf on Saturday, Cacapa not yet 100% with his hamstring injury and Taylor awaiting a specialist's OK before returning after his back knack.

Also, substitute Carr had to come off at Ewood with hamstring problems. Ramage is out long-term, Duff back in training but yet to feature for the reserves and Owen still sidelined.

AFC: To follow...Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Cesc Fabregas is almost certain to be absent as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Also expected to be missing are Robin van Persie (hamstring) and Alexandr Hleb, who limped off at Villa Park with hamstring and Achilles problems.

The Gunners have won four and drawn two of their six Premiership away games on the road this season - taking a point from trips to Blackburn and Liverpool and being victorious at Spurs, West Ham, Reading and Aston Villa.

Their last league reverse came at Anfield in March 2007.

Saturday's 2-1 win at Villa was achieved with the following side:

Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Eboue, Diarra, Flamini, Rosicky (Silva), Hleb (Walcott) , Adebayor (Bendtner). Subs n/u: Lehmann, Senderos.

Ref: Mike Dean - Wirral-based official previously seen this season only at our away draw in Smogsville.

Worst case scenerio is a draw.

Win means 3 points.
Loss means BIG AL!

Just kidding.

...or am I....

Need to credit NUFC.com (http://www.nufc.com/) for the match preview.

I'm seeing some conflicting information in the media today regarding Sam's future with club. Some are suggesting that he has until the end of the holiday fixtures to turn it around. i guess will find out on Thursday.

I just want to see the players fighting for the shirt and the home fans matching the Toon Army support from Saturday. Honestly Arsenal is one of the best teams in the world even without Cesc and I don't expect much.

Inviting us over to chat, eh? I've never minded Newcastle though, and it's a shame to see your defense in such shambles. Will Fat Sam get the

Arsenal haven't played well at St James Park as of late, plus Big Sam seems to know what to do to shut Arsenal down. I think this will be closer then some people expect

Well if it all goes to shit for the Toon on Wednesday a least we all can laugh at Spurs.:D

I think he may get the sack although imo that would be a rash decision.

Obviously a win would be great, but I will take a draw if nothing more than so Big Sam can tell all of the raging lunatic critics who cannot see what a lack of talent is on the pitch to "piss off." I am behind the boys and Sam 100% and will not engage in this rotten form of cannabilism. Ownership needs to pony up the money necessary to bring real talent to the club.

So thats what the sack looks like...I thought it would look a bit like a Southwest Airlines departure gate or Baltimore.

If Liverpool can beat us 3-0 at SJP then I don't want to think about what Arsenal can do. I just want to see the lads give it a real go, the effort will be extremely important. Any sort of result and I will be happy, I'm not expecting much from this.

Hopefully BSA doesn't get the sack. Unless Ashley and Mort have a plan to bring in the Special One(as if).

Fixed. It just sounds more appropriate that way.:D

Seriously. I hope you all keep big sam and give him some cash in the transfer window and next summer. He is a good manager and just needs some time IMO.

Unfortunately this looks ever less likely. If the man doesn't perform a miracle in the next month he is gone.

Correction, Sam Allardyce is NOT a good manager. He is a detriment to the game.

Souness was better.

I respect Newcastle and believe you all deserve a better manager than that piece of shit Allardyce.

You start off with a good point then wash away all that good work with a postitive comment about Souness.

Pity
