could have gone either way this one end to end in the second half a very good game but just happy with the points just shows how much football can change within 3 days down in the dumps on wednesday and estatic on saturday.

Bentley's free-kick was the dog's.
Overall, we made up for the poor showing against the Villains on Wednesday. We proved that Big Sam is a crap, one-dimensional manager, and we proved what didn't need proving - that Newcastle cannot defend.

true all that. and you'd have to say that 3 goals is pretty much at the lower end of what you'd expect to score against the Toons.

Poor first half.
Thought "here we go again" after they scored. Same problem as against Villa, asleep at a set piece.
The lads dug it out though, I was impressed with that. Excellent game after we woke up.
3 quality goals.
Even though Gamst still looked a bit crap we were a lot better with him on, we need wingers. Dunny had a mare to be honest so anything would be an improvement. Gamst was unlucky with his header though, brave going in against the keeper like that.
Roberts looked good again.
You'd never guess Big Sam was their manager now would you ... long ball ... booomf!
I hope they don't sack him and England get him.

At least we wouldn't have to worry about how Gerrard and Lampard played together. They'd never see the ball ... Crouch up front .... boooomf!

Well, gents, I just got back from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and I must admit that I had to miss the last two matches. I tossed around the idea of driving to Antigonish on the chance that I might be able to see the matches, but naturally Setanta's "venue finder" is attrocious and I couldn't get a location. So, I opted not to make a two hour drive and be forced to try to figure out which pub might offer Setanta Sports. (Also, the area of Nova Scotia I was in didn't have high-speed internet -- they had dial-up only -- so I couldn't even watch a stream or listen to Rovers Radio.)
As it is, I am quite glad I didn't make any effort to see the Villa match .
I am happy to be home and I hope y'all didn't miss me too much
