But really, whats the problem with that? I think it's great, and I'm not a little envious.
What is brilliant, however (and Clan 'I was in the army you know' Blue, feel free to correct me on this) is that the ticket price (that of the lowest priced tickets) has gone up to £49! Lol. Time to get out a loan, guys!

1. Uh yeah, we are trying to "buy the title". Why do your sides buy players? So they can look pretty in uniforms? I love these arguments - if your side had the money to spend, would you turn down Duff or Geremi? Yeah, I thought so.
2. Tickets - not living in the UK this doesn't bother me, but judging by the audience the last time I was at the Bridge last fall, they can afford it.
Me, I'm more interested in seeing how much the Arse are going to charge for seats when they finally complete their new monstrosity. 120 quid for seats with obstructed views anyone?
3. At least we're not the Spurs - we actually have a chance of winning something this year. That doesn't really have anything to do with the discussion, but its always relevant.

Ah yes, because you've won so much in the past........

I'll say we'll win the league (naive optimism), with Manure second. Chelsea and Liverpool will get the other Champions League spots.

Um, yes, i have seen that the prices of the season tickets, catagory "A" and "B" matches all went up for this coming season.
What you failed to mention-whether by simple mistake or intentionally i don't know-is that these prices had gone into effect before the take over.
Now, whilst your point still stands (somewhat) i would hazard a guess that it will be many a year before they actually go up again.
As i always say though, never let facts get in the way of a good piss take though.
You should know that one though lad, i mean, you lot "were the first to do the double"...ha ha ha ha ha.
Mate of mine was a yid.

I don't believe in a team buying a title. It does go wrong. See Detroit Red Wings of last year and the Yankees of every year they existed.

Blackburn Rovers anyone? Granted, it all went t!ts up a few years later when everyone decided they wanted to play for a big team, but they still did it. i can't see that happening to Chelski. London as a place to live is a far cry from the bleakness of Blackburn. And Ranieri is a good coach too.

Hehehe. I know you were. But its much more fun to pretend to be insulted. That way you go and say something like "I'm jealous of your club", which is always nice ;)
Don't worry, I'm sure the Saudi Royal family is itching to buy the Spurs. Then we can have that oil vs. oil London rivalry.

If the Saudi's buy Spurs, I'll bomb WHL myself.

Blackburn's last championship win also proved that jsut lobbing money about the place won't guaruntee the title. Colin Hendry ?, bought from Man City for just £750,000. Graeme Le Saux ?, Chelsea reject bought reletively cheaply, Jason Wilcox was from the youth team, Sherwood from Watford for not much either.
It is a lot more difficult than just lobbing wads of cash. Many people believe that's all Blackburn did, and that there were no barguins in the squad picked up from reserves of other teams. You have to have a manager who can mould a team out of a squad of individuals. That is where the skills is, as Dalglish, and now Souness has shown. If it was all about how much money you spent, Liverpool, Leeds, Chelsea and Fulham, some of whom have probably spent comparatively more than Blackburn from the 1991/2-1994/5 period would have more titles now.
P.S. London is a sh_theap of a city. It's the same as everywhere else in Britain apart from the pavements are wider and there are more buildings and cars. London is nothing special, honestly.

yeah, but it is still Chelsea and Bates is still involved. The Blues will find a way to mess things up.

The Russkie has managed to do something that the entire footballing structure in England has been trying to do since the summer of 1983, ie muzzle Ken Bates.
Quite an achievement.
Although Bates is quite happy now as he looks at the bollox Dien and laughs at how the wheel has come full circle on the "Need a new ground/financial debt it will cause" situation.
However, as you said, on our day we can lose to anybody.
Big game Saturday, bigger in some ways than the scouser game.

Anybody that has followed Chelsea for any time at all will tell you the same.
In days of old a home loss of 0-1 or 0-2 would be par for the course Saturday.
I eagerly await the game to see what the attitude of the players will be at home to Leicester as opposed to the heady heights of away at Anfield.
